Many riders lust after the four-cylinder superbikes, or the massive adventure-tourers. No denying that riding such a machine does give the rider a measure of street credibility and certainly does bolster the image of being a biker. However, reality is a harsh mistress, and while some of us are lucky enough to be able to ride, and more importantly afford, what we have, in most cases the majority has to make choices that reflect circumstances. But, what if I told you, there is a way to have your cake and eat it too?In the case of Kawasaki’s middleweights, the new Kawasaki Ninja 650, priced at RM37,189 – the Special Edition comes priced at at RM38,189 – and the Z650 at RM35,609, these replacements for the previous-generation ER-6n and ER-6f bring a slew of improvements and upgrades. It cannot be denied that while the superbikes attract a lot of glamour, the middleweight market is the bread and butter for most manufacturers, especially the Japanese. But, sometimes, lots of … [Read more...] about REVIEW: Kawasaki Ninja 650 and Z650 in Malaysia, RM36k-RM38k – fun with or without clothes on?

BMW Malaysia has teased a new variant of the G30 5 Series on social media, and with the blue theme going on, it can only be the 530e iPerformance. We’ve driven the plug-in hybrid variant of the 5 Series and have been told that it will be officially launched in Malaysia this month.Reader David Diong sent in the spyshots you see below, of a uncovered 530e on the Sprint Highway. From the pics, we can see that the PHEV G30 will be sold in Sport Line, identifiable by the gloss black front valance and similarly dark tail pipe finishing. It’s not all shiny black trim as per the standard Sport however – this car has the add-on satin aluminium trim on the side air breathers and window surrounds. BMW Malaysia chose the same bright alu trim for the current 530i M Sport, which works well. Coupled with what should be 18-inch multi-spoke rims, it’s a classy look for the business sedan. The 530e’s powertrain recipe is similar to the 330e’s, but improvements to the … [Read more...] about BMW Malaysia teases G30 530e iPerformance plug-in hybrid – spyshots show Sport Line trim
