We met a bunch of guys who were agents and helped us to get the permits. While in the Office, some of the officials were interested in exchanging Bhutan Ngultrum with our Rupees. Mossy and I exchanged about 5000 rupees each there, thinking it will be easier for us once we ride more into Bhutan. FYI, Indian Rupees is accepted all over Bhutan. The officials were pretty, hence the exchange :P outside the Hotel We got a call from them at 11AM saying that the Transportation Office is closed and that we won't be able to get out permits. Mark Webber isn’t happy with Williams’ inexperienced driver line-up as the Aussie feels F1 should not be used as a “finishing school.” This season Williams are racing two youngsters in Lance Stroll and Sergey Sirotkin. As such the team has the most inexperienced line-up on the grid with Stroll having just one season under his belt while Sirotkin is in his rookie campaign. Stroll qualified P13 for the season-opening Australian GP while Sirotkin was P19. “Not happy,” Webber told the Metro newspaper. “There’s not a person out there that doesn’t want to see Williams do well, and to do that they need a marriage between experience and the future. “You need chemistry between the drivers. F1 isn’t a finishing school, it needs drivers who can deliver from the off.” … [Read more...] about Webber unhappy with ‘finishing school’ Williams

This includes developing local talent in several racing disciplines. SIC CEO Datuk Razlan Razali, said in a report by Bernama that other forms of four-wheel motor racing are needed to fill the void left by F1, and they should not only be well supported by motorsport fans but also provide returns to the country. “We need races that have an impact on the economy. Before organising these races, we should raise awareness and interest in the races among local motorsport fans. It’s meaningless if the races attract more foreign audiences compared to local fans,” said Razlan during a press conference after announcing SIC’s 2018 programme for local talents in two- and four-wheel motorsports. Among those in attendance include Jazeman Jaafar, Afiq Ikhwan Yazid, Weiron Tan and … [Read more...] about Replace Formula One with more rewarding races
