BMW is the latest automaker to experiment with offering a subscription service for its vehicles, instead of selling them the traditional way. The program called Access by BMW is only available in Nashville, Tennessee, at the moment. There are two tiers of service. The Legend plan is $2,000 a month and provides access to the 530e xDrive , 540i, X5 xDrive35i , 440i Coupe , 440i Convertible , and M2 . The M plan at $3,700 a month and includes use of the M5, X5 M , X6 M , and M4 Convertible . When signing up, clients have to pay a $575 joining fee, and there's a minimum of a 32-day commitment. BMW handles the insurance and maintenance on the vehicles. Each vehicle receives detailing prior to each delivery.
