The ownership of property has been a game of written rules and regulations, determined by a judge or court. Now things are different, as the old-world is giving way to the new and digital age. A blockchain ecosystem provides ownership rights efficiently, eliminating the paperwork, bureaucracy and expense while guaranteeing transparency. Trading skepticism for support: How parents can support kids with thinking and learning differences
(BPT) - One in five kids — nearly 70 million Americans — have learning or thinking differences (LTDs), like ADHD or dyslexia. While LTDs are common among families, friends, neighbors and peers, new research from Understood.org, a guide and resource for people with LTDs, finds that there are still harmful stigmas associated with them — stigmas that often negatively impact children’s mental health and prevent parents from taking steps to get their child proper support. According to Understood.org’s "Neurodiversity and Stigma Study," 90% of parents believe there are children with LTDs, yet more than half (55%) of those with neurodivergent children say they are afraid to tell others about their child’s LTD because of associated biases. Additionally, 69% of parents of kids with LTDs say that these stigmas negatively impact their child’s mental well-being. This is why Understood launched the “Be the Reason” campaign — to increase awareness and engagement of parents around … [Read more...] about Trading skepticism for support: How parents can support kids with thinking and learning differences
Why Businesses Should Take a Cultured Approach to Data
Data brought a slowly moving revolution to the business world. While it has completely changed, and may still change, the way we approach processes, many companies still struggle with it. There's an implicit understanding that being data-driven is beneficial, yet no one can quite pinpoint how to become data-driven. Unfortunately, such an approach can lead to many organizational errors that make data teams inefficient. A common red flag in a business is if the data team produces little to no impact on daily operations. It may become visible due to an internal complaint or through day-to-day operation analysis. However, there are ways to avoid this issue. Related: The Hidden Advantages Data-Driven Sales Teams Have Data silos and other problems Businesses, in a poetic way, woke up one day to find … [Read more...] about Why Businesses Should Take a Cultured Approach to Data

Magnussen feels guilty about removing wedding ring
Kevin Magnussen says he does not feel comfortable having to remove his wedding ring under the FIA’s jewellery ban. Niels Wittich, one half of the new race director set-up in Formula 1 , was quick to dig up the rule relating to drivers wearing jewellery in the car, re-enforcing the complete ban on that, while the requirement to wear fireproof underwear is also now a part of the scrutineering progress. Magnussen though feels it is probably a bit much to be asking drivers to also remove their wedding ring. “I understand what they are they saying, but it is a wedding ring around your finger,” he said, quoted by Motorsportweek.com. “I’ll take a little bit of extra burn on my finger to race in my wedding ring. And if something was going to happen, something bad, I would want to wear my wedding ring. It kind of feels bad to take it off. “With something like that, like your wedding ring. Let us take that responsibility. There must be somehow to remove liability.” Magnussen’s … [Read more...] about Magnussen feels guilty about removing wedding ring
