Feds Investigating Honda Civic For Potential Steering Issues
Honda’s iconic Civic is under federal investigation. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced Friday that it was opening a probe into alleged issues with the model’s steering. The investigation is looking at the 2022-2023 Civic. NHTSA has received 145 complaints over the last 11 months about the Civic’s “sticky steering.” According to the agency’s report, owners have complained that they feel momentary increases in steering effort while driving the vehicle. The issue allegedly happens at highway speeds after driving for a certain amount of time. Most complaints have come from owners low-mileage vehicles. An increase in steering effort could cause a driver to overreact when attempting to avoid a road hazard. This could increase the chance of a collision; however, NHTSA has not reported any injuries or collisions related to the issue. NHTSA also received several Early Warning Reporting Field Reports about the issue. This, along with the … [Read more...] about Feds Investigating Honda Civic For Potential Steering Issues
Used Car Prices Down 8.7 Percent From Last Year, According To Study
After reaching record highs last year, used car prices continue to fall according to the latest study from iSeeCars. That equates to a decline of $11,302 compared to September 2022, … [Read more...] about Used Car Prices Down 8.7 Percent From Last Year, According To Study

Use Next and Previous buttons to navigate 3 EDITORS: EMBARGOED UNTIL SUNDAY, MARCH 19 - - - PITTSBURGH - During every Adam Sandler stand-up show, he straps on his electric guitar and sings a song. Unlike the bite-size ditties he's peppered through the set about selfies or baggy shorts, this one concerns his late, great "Saturday Night Live" buddy, Chris Farley. It is a perfect tribute. Sandler, singing softly as he strums in G, captures the complicated beauty of Farley as clips of his most memorable high jinks play on a giant screen behind him. The crowd roars as he references Farley's electrifying SNL turns as a Chippendales dancer and a motivational speaker "living in a van down by the river." There is a hush as Sandler slips into the bridge, a peek into his friend's vulnerability. "I saw him in the office, crying with his headphones on "Listening to a KC and the Sunshine Band song "I said, 'Buddy, how the hell is … [Read more...] about Adam Sandler doesn’t need your respect. States cranking out even more tax cuts amid cash surpluses
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Just six months after passing what was billed as the largest tax cut in Missouri history, the Republican-led state House voted Tuesday for an even bigger income tax cut that could return over $1 billion annually to individuals, corporations and retirees. The Missouri legislation is the latest in a series of aggressive tax reductions that swept across U.S. states last year and have continued into 2023 — even as some warn that it might be wise for states to hold on to record large surpluses amid economic uncertainty. “Wouldn’t it be a good idea for us to all just pause for a year?” Democratic state Rep. Deb Lavender asked rhetorically before her Republican colleagues endorsed the tax cut on a 109-45 party-line vote. The Missouri legislation still has a ways to go — it needs a second House approval before it can move to the Senate and then to the governor. But legislatures and governors in several states already have given final approval to tax cuts and … [Read more...] about States cranking out even more tax cuts amid cash surpluses

Armed with a favourable road position and six WRC wins on Mexican soil, Ogier was definitely a firm favourite to clinch a record-breaking seventh. However, he was pushed throughout Friday by Hyundai's Esapekka Lappi as he trailed the Finn by 5.3s heading into Saturday, but it was clear the eight-time world champion had more in the tank. Knowing how brutal Mexico can be, Ogier adopted an approach of taking just the correct amount of risk which has served him so well in the past. Once Lappi crashed, Ogier was afforded the luxury of being able to manage a healthy gap to the finish. However, the … [Read more...] about WRC Mexico: The Good, the Bad and a legend at his peak
Carlos Sainz concerned cars becoming harder to follow again with 2023 challengers
Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz believes the 2023 cars are beginning to feel like their predecessors in that following other drivers is becoming a “limitation” on performance. Sainz was overtaken on the first lap after a brave move from Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll saw him launch a pass around the outside of the banked Turn 13 in Jeddah, and the Spaniard faced a tough task to find his way back past again in the race. He was unable to do so, with Stroll able to keep Sainz at bay – and the Ferrari driver explained that he took too much life out of his tyres in his first stint as he searched for a way by the Canadian prior to his retirement, though he feels the 2023 cars are now harder to follow behind again. The 2022 regulation reset was done with a significant focus on improving cars’ following capabilities, with the switch to ground effect aerodynamics brought in to aid drivers while following each other and not losing as much downforce in the process in turbulent air – with pre-2021 … [Read more...] about Carlos Sainz concerned cars becoming harder to follow again with 2023 challengers
