The luxobarge looks majestic even when hiding under a car cover. We’ve been spying on the new Bentley Flying Spur since October 2016 , back when test mules were carrying Porsche Panamera bodies. Fast forward to present day, we still haven’t seen Crewe’s fullsize luxury sedan in full, but prototypes are being caught with less and less camouflage with each new batch of spy shots. Revealed: 2020 Bentley Flying Spur Debuts As W12 Luxobarge With 626 HP This particular Flying Spur is a bit more interesting than the others since it’s the electrified version. That’s right – the new generation will feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain joining the familiar V8 and W12 versions of the luxobarge. The prototype was caught charging its battery pack, which will be a part of a PHEV system likely inherited from the Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid. It won’t be the exact same setup as the Bentley Bentayga Hybrid since the opulent SUV uses a slightly bigger 3.0-liter unit whereas … [Read more...] about Bentley Flying Spur PHEV Caught Recharging Its Battery

This Infiniti FX Rendering Exists In An Alternate Universe
Honestly, we love it. The original FX was a pretty unique model in Infiniti's lineup. It was based on the platform of the Nissan 370Z and didn’t have a Nissan -branded equivalent, and thus was not available in Japan. It was launched for the first time almost two decades ago, and its spirit was resurrected with the QX55 in November last year . However, the QX55 actually sits a class below the original FX in terms of its dimensions, technologies, and powertrains. Basically, this means Infiniti doesn’t have a direct successor for the FX, and our Russian pals at Kolesa.ru decided to fix that mistake. Ladies and gentlemen, meet the new Infiniti FX. Gallery: 2022 Infiniti FX rendering 2 Photos Of course, it exists only in the virtual universe but we are quite happy with what we are seeing. This rendering combines the fresh and distinctive front-end design of the QX55 with the rakish overall profile of the original FX. … [Read more...] about This Infiniti FX Rendering Exists In An Alternate Universe
Ford Evos Breaks Cover As Wagonized SUV With Ultra-Wide Screen
It's widely believed this will be Europe's new Mondeo and North America's Fusion. Finally! After months of rumors and spy shots, the Ford Evos has arrived at Auto Shanghai. Much like the Citroën C5 X, it's a segment-blurring family car created as a mélange between a wagon and an SUV. It represents the Blue Oval's first product to be largely developed by a team in China where it will be initially available and produced by the Changan Ford joint venture. It's an attractive five-door machine with a front fascia reminiscent of another China-focused model, the recently launched Equator SUV . The light bar above the grille is gradually starting to become a design trend to create a visual connection between the LED daytime running lights. Pop-out door handles remind us of the Mustang Mach-E, and while Ford says the side profile is a coupe-SUV affair, it looks more like a high-riding wagon to us. Toyota bZ4X Concept Debuts As Vision Of Future Electric Crossover
For some markets, production starts in mid-2022. The Toyota bZ4X electric vehicle concept arrives to preview the Japanese brand's entry into the burgeoning crossover EV segment. The company plans to launch the production version in mid-2022 with production taking place in Japan and China. Unfortunately, the automaker isn't willing to share US-market details about the vehicle yet, saying that info is coming "at a later date." The bZ4X wears a small hexagonal grille in the lower part of the fascia and vertical gills in the corners, but there are otherwise no openings in the front end. The narrow headlights each have four LED elements and a strip for the daytime running lights along the top. Gallery: Toyota bZ4X BEV concept 14 Photos In profile, the bZ4X has complex sculpting that includes a scooped-out section running along the shoulder line and a crease in the … [Read more...] about Toyota bZ4X Concept Debuts As Vision Of Future Electric Crossover
Hyundai Accent is bigger, quicker, and safer for 2018
New subcompact officially bows at the Toronto Auto Show this week. The Canadian International Auto Show has been around since the mid-70's, and while plenty of exciting vehicles have made their way through the Toronto expo over the years, it's never actually hosted a world premiere. That changes today with the global unveiling of the 2018 Hyundai Accent seen here. The fifth-generation Accent sedan, which Hyundai says will make its way to markets around the world beginning in the third quarter of 2017, is larger than its predecessor, accelerates quicker, and offers segment-first automatic emergency braking. In terms of size, the 2018 Accent is wider and longer than the 2017 sedan, with an increased wheelbase, though it sits 10 millimitres lower to the ground for better aerodynamics. Not surprisingly, the interior is larger, both in terms of passenger volume and trunk space. The cabin looks plenty stylish, with the accompanying pictures showing eye-catching red accents … [Read more...] about Hyundai Accent is bigger, quicker, and safer for 2018
