International rallying will return to New South Wales with the new-look Coffs Coast Rally on November 26-28. The event will be the finale for both the APRC and Australian Rally Championship seasons, and gives Australia two APRC events alongside the qualifier in the Adelaide Hills on October 15-17. GM, Ford, Chrysler Withdraw from Tokyo Motor Show
Ford, GM and Chrysler won't be participating in the Tokyo motor show this year due to the crisis in the industry. The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association is debating whether or not to hold the show this year due to the lack of participation. US automakers have pulled out of the Tokyo motor show. Ford, GM and Chrysler won't be participating in the Tokyo motor show this year, the automakers confirmed on Wednesday. "At this time, participating in the show just isn't a strategic priority," Ford spokeswoman Jennifer Flake said. A spokesman for GM Asia Pacific said the 2 million US dollars it would cost the automaker to take part in the show would be better spent elsewhere. Chrysler also cited its current troubles as a reason for skipping the show. Paddon , who lost his Hyundai seat to Sebastien Loeb this year, is working every possible angle to find a way back into the WRC , and taking delivery of one of the Korean manufacturer’s race cars is a sensible option. The Kiwi’s team is now based out of the Highlands Motorsport Park close to Queenstown, which means he has daily access to the 2.6-mile circuit. Porsche enduro added to Australian GP schedule
Porsche Cars Australia has confirmed its flagship one-make series will hold a long-format race ay Albert Park for the first time, with a 45-minute hit-out on the Thursday evening. The enduro will kick off at 5:20pm local time. The long race will be followed by three 25-minute sprint races, one each on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. “The Australian Grand Prix weekend is the second round of our 2020 season and arguably one of the biggest races of on our national calendar for the Porsche brand while being a firm favourite with our Pro and Pro-Am drivers," said PCA Head of Motorsport Troy Bundy. “As the premier support category for the event, we are delighted to announce the addition of the new endurance race for our competitors and race fans.
