The mega-delivery event from the brand took place at Delhi-NCR, after having received an overwhelming response in the market, since its launch in the market. The new Tata Safari is offered in a range of variants, with a starting price of Rs 14.69 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi). The company announced that a majority of the customers have chosen the top-spec XZA+ trim, while Royal Blue and Orcus White are the most preferred paint schemes on the 6/7-seater SUV. The Tata Safari was introduced in India recently and is based on the same platform as its five-seater sibling, the Harrier. F1 set for ‘Super Tuesday’ launch double with Mercedes and Alpine
The final full week before the start of pre-season testing in Bahrain has proven a popular period for teams to present their new cars, making for an unofficial F1 launch week. After presentations by McLaren, AlphaTauri, Alfa Romeo and Red Bull across the last two weeks, five teams will now unveil their 2021 cars in the next four days - starting with ‘Super Tuesday’. Reigning world champion squad Mercedes will launch its new car, the W12, this morning as it sets out its stall for an eighth consecutive championship victory. Although the car livery is set to largely resemble last year’s design with some minor tweaks, Mercedes has undergone a number of big changes over the winter. A change in its ownership structure saw principal partner INEOS become a one-third owner, while team principal Toto Wolff committed his future to the team by upping his shareholding. Misano MotoGP: Quartararo leads Petronas Yamaha 1-2 in FP1
For the third time this season, MotoGP returns to the same circuit for a second grand prix, which also follows on from a one-day test on Tuesday. San Marino GP race winner Franco Morbidelli set the early pace on his Petronas Yamaha with a 1m33.194s, before KTM's Pol Espargaro moved into top spot with a 1m32.390s. Morbidelli - who was absent from Tuesday's test due to a stomach upset - returned to the top of the pile with just under 15 minutes gone with a 1m32.365s, He would better this in the final 15 minutes to a 1m32.224s, with Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso deposing him with six minutes to go on a soft tyre time attack. Dovizioso, who struggled throughout the San Marino weekend but made a breakthrough in set-up in the test, went fastest with a 1m32.152s. This stood as the benchmark very briefly, as Joan Mir guided his Suzuki to the first sub 1m32s lap of the day with a 1m31.926s. O’Ward, who finished fourth in the 2020 NTT IndyCar Series points standings, lapped the classic 2.238-mile course in Monterey, CA., in 1min11.293sec. That meant he was two-tenths of a second clear of IndyCar returnee Ed Jones, who was just four-hundredths ahead of his Dale Coyne Racing teammate, ex-Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean. Felix Rosenqvist made it two Arrow McLaren SP cars in the top four, while Meyer Shank Racing’s fulltimer Jack Harvey finished the day fifth, 0.4sec from top spot.
