Owners of 2007 to 2014 model year GM trucks, take note. The Takata faulty airbag inflator incident is one of the biggest recalls in automotive history – both in the US and the rest of the world. Over 100 million vehicles are part of the recall globally, affecting various car brands that sourced their inflators from the Japanese company. Of note, Takata as a company has been defuncted in 2018 due to this issue. However, the airbag inflator issue continues to haunt automakers up to this day. The latest one would be General Motors, which now has officially issued a recall involving six million pickup trucks and SUVs, GM Authority reports. Ford Bronco Sport Recalled Over Rear Suspension Issue
The repairs begin in April. There is a recall affecting 1,666 units of the Ford Bronco Sport because of an issue with the crossover's rear suspension assembly. In total, this campaign covers 1,640 units in the United States, 24 in Canada, and 2 in Mexico. According to Ford, the rear suspension module might not be fully secured to the subframe. If there are loose or missing bolts there's an increased risk of an accident and the possibility of reduced crash performance in a rear impact. The automaker is not aware of any accidents or injuries due to this issue. Mercedes has officially unveiled the 2011 CLS. It will be priced from €59,857 when it goes on sale in January. Mercedes has officially unveiled the 2011 CLS-Class. Drawing design cues from the Shooting Brake Concept , the CLS features flared wheel arches, a sloping roofline, and optional LED headlights. Inside, the cabin boasts leather upholstery, wood trim, and bright metal accents. When it is launched in January, two models will be available - the 195 kW (265 PS / 262 hp) CLS 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY and the 225 kW (306 PS / 302 hp) CLS 350 BlueEFFICIENCY. Two months later, the 150 kW (204 PS / 201 hp) CLS 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY will be added to the lineup. In April, the 300 kW (408 PS / 402 hp) CLS 500 BlueEFFICIENCY will greet eager consumers. Tachikawa wins the second Fuji Sprint Cup 2012 race
Tachikawa and Hirate earn overall GT500 JAF Grand Prix Race 2 of the JAF Grand Prix SUPER GT & Formula NIPPON “FUJI SPRINT CUP 2012”, an event bringing together Japan’s premier production car race, the SUPER GT, and Japan’s premier formula car race, Formula Japan, took place on November 18 at Fuji Speedway (one lap 4.563 km) in Shizuoka Pref. A large crowd of 41,300 spectators turned out to watch the hot racing and cheer on their favorites on this final day of the event’s three days of competition. Unlike the regular season SUPER GT series races competed by a relay of two drivers for each machine, this event was competed in two races on the 17th and 18th driven by one driver each. The final team standings for the event were determined by the point totals of each team’s two drivers in these two races, and the JAF Grand Prix title was given to the overall winners in each class. VW gets 1.6 TDI fix approval and says diesel trick is legal in Europe

With the official approval of The Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) in Germany, VW is getting ready to kick off another recall campaign caused by the messy and costly Dieselgate . This time around, it involves a total of 2.6 million European cars equipped with the turbodiesel four-cylinder, 1.6-liter TDI engine from the now infamous EA 189 family. It’s installed in a wide array of models from Audi, Skoda, and SEAT, as well as in cars from the core brand. VW’s engineers will have to apply a “software update” to make things right once again, and owners of affected cars are going to be contacted by the company in the weeks to come.
