The Super SUV is making its video debut. After a painstakingly long teaser campaign, the Urus is finally here in all of its “Super SUV” glory. While Lamborghini has said it will stay true to its one engine, one model rule, things might change in the foreseeable future if we were to rely on a new report coming from Auto Express . The British magazine had a chat with a “company insider” and managed to find out the Urus will eventually become Lamborghini’s first production plug-in hybrid car. It won’t be the first ever electrified bull from Sant’Agata Bolognese as the Asterion concept from three years ago rocked the Huracan’s V10 and three electric motors for a grand total of 910 horsepower (669 kilowatts). Alfa Stelvio ‘Ring Record Video In Doubt, Evidence Of Editing
The Italian SUV may not be as fast as it seems. The Alfa Romeo Stelvio lapped the Nürburgring in a record 7 minutes 51.7 seconds , making it the fastest SUV ever around the Green Hell. But with any record-breaking Nürburgring lap, some are calling into question the legitimacy of Alfa Romeo’s run, citing a number of editing issues within the video. The legitimacy question was first brought up by the website Bridge to Gantry , which pointed out a number of issues that could provide evidence of the video being faked. The video, which shows all 7 minutes and 51.7 seconds of the run, sees the Stelvio show up at the same location multiple times throughout, including the 2 kilometer sign, which shows up twice near the beginning of the video. See if you can spot it: Honda Civic Type R , which recorded a 7 minute 50.63-second lap prior to its 7 minute 43.8 second-run set in April. Hennessey Boosted The McLaren 765LT To 1,000 Horsepower
As if the 765LT wasn’t already quick enough… The McLaren 765LT comes with 755 horsepower (563 kilowatts) out of the box, will hit 60 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds, and tops out at 205 miles per hour (330 kilometers per hour). And the quickest one we've seen runs the quarter-mile in 9.37 seconds, totally stock. So does this car really need to be any faster? Probably not, but Hennessey decided to release a kit that bumps the 765LT's output to a whopping 1,000 HP (745 kW). Yesterday, the Texas tuner officially announced its insane new tune for the 765LT that increases the output to the aforementioned 1,000 horses. Now this already absurdly fast vehicle to will hit 60 in just 2.1 seconds and a top speed – we can only assume – of somewhere in the north of 215 mph (346 kmh). "The new 765LT is underrated from the factory," John Hennessey notes. "We tested it on our in-house dyno and it delivered about 765 HP – at the rear wheels. This means it's … [Read more...] about Hennessey Boosted The McLaren 765LT To 1,000 Horsepower
