The Japanese marque isn't just done yet with its compact model. It was only hours ago when Lexus introduced a new performance badge in its IS line – the Lexus IS 500 F Sport Performance . We know, it's a mouthful, but there's more to the new moniker than just another badge. Speaking to Lexus Enthusiast , the Japanese marque explained why the IS 500 F Sport Performance, despite carrying a lot of oomph, isn't exactly a replacement for the full F models. As it turns out, it has something to do with its positioning within the Lexus IS range, plus a guarantee of better things to come for the performance models of the luxury automaker. Today, the all-new model is breaking cover with some major changes inside and out as well as underneath the skin. Also known as the Rogue Sport in the United States, the revamped Qashqai adopts a sharper design and has the same funky headlights we’ve seen on recent Nissan products with boomerang-shaped clusters. The Blue Oval’s compact pickup looks surprisingly rugged and square-jawed. A single image of a 2022 Ford Maverick pickup has allegedly leaked from inside the company’s assembly plant in Hermosillo, Mexico. First appearing on the forum Maverick Truck Club, the image betrays a lone compact truck without doors, rolling down an assembly line wrapped in vinyl camouflage. De Oliveira made his Super GT debut with Nissan in 2006 after winning the previous year’s Japanese F3 title. During stints with Hasemi, Kondo and Impul, the Brazilian driver scored a total of nine wins in the premier GT500 category and came within five points of securing the 2015 title when he was paired alongside Hironobu Yasuda. De Oliveira’s affiliation with Nissan also led him to drive for Kondo and Impul in Super Formula for a decade between 2007 and ‘16.
