It's larger than before and can be had with huge 20-inch wheels. Having racked up more than three million sales in Europe, it’s safe to say the Qashqai is a huge deal for Nissan. With the company being in dire straits these days, there’s a lot riding on the third generation of the compact crossover to help the company turn its fortunes around. Today, the all-new model is breaking cover with some major changes inside and out as well as underneath the skin. Also known as the Rogue Sport in the United States, the revamped Qashqai adopts a sharper design and has the same funky headlights we’ve seen on recent Nissan products with boomerang-shaped clusters. The bodywork has more edges than before and is also bigger as the vehicle is now 35 millimeters (1.37 inches) longer, 32 mm (1.25 in) wider, and 25 mm (1 in) taller. The elongated body has brought a stretch of the wheelbase of 20 mm (0.8 in). Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo Debuts With Huge Glass Roof, Gravel Mode
Extra practicality with minimal performance loss compared to the sedan. The Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo isn't the world's first electric wagon, but it's certainly the most exciting. It combines all of the sedan's qualities and sprinkles some extra practicality you'd expect from a car with a longer roof. It sits 0.8 inches (20 millimeters) higher than the regular Taycan or a further 0.4 inches (10 millimeters) provided the Off Road Design Package is included. The optional kit comes with even more plastic body cladding to mimic the SUV-like look also made possible by using beefier fenders and model-specific rocker panels. The front and rear fascias have been updated, with the most obvious changes being at the back to swap out the trunk lid for a more practical hatch and the essential rear wiper. Porsche is adding a dedicated Gravel mode to the Taycan Cross Turismo, raising the suspension to its tallest settings and making changes to the stability control and torque … [Read more...] about Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo Debuts With Huge Glass Roof, Gravel Mode
BMW M4 CS Is The Next Best Thing To An M4 GTS
The 460-hp coupe needs a mere 3.9 seconds to hit 62 mph (100 kph). The BMW M4 CS was spotted about two months ago without any camouflage while taking part in a commercial shoot and now it’s finally ready to show off its goods in full. As expected, the new version slots between the M4 with the Competition Package and the hardcore track-focused M4 GTS. Since the latter is no longer available, it effectively makes the CS the new range topper in the 4 Series family. BMW points out the “CS” suffix is here to stay and it will be used from now on to signal a beefier version positioned above the models equipped with the aforementioned Competition Package. One of the most significant upgrades is found in the engine bay where the 3.0-liter engine has been massaged to deliver an extra 10 horsepower and 37 pound-feet (50 Newton-meters) of torque compared to the M4 fitted with the Competition Package. That means the biturbo straight-six mill now generates 460 hp and 442 lb-ft (600 Nm) … [Read more...] about BMW M4 CS Is The Next Best Thing To An M4 GTS

Uwe Gemballa’s Son Gets Ruf To Develop Engine For Porsche Project
The project is one step closer to production. Marc Philipp Gemballa, founded by Uwe Gemballa's son of the same name, is readying a new high-riding supercar that launches sometime this spring. It's been teased a handful of times, though we're still waiting for the official reveal. We'll have to wait a bit longer for that information, but in the meantime, the company has announced that it'll partner with Ruf in developing the supercar's high-powered engine. Details about the project are still a closely guarded secret, though we know it's based on the Porsche 911 Turbo S 992 Series. It borrows its inspiration from the iconic design of the Porsche 959, though it'll sport a modern powerplant. Marc Philipp Gemballa will use the Turbo S's twin-turbocharged 3.7-liter flat-six engine, but Ruf will massage more power out of it. The engine makes 640 horsepower (477 kilowatts) and 590 pound-feet (800 Newton-meters) of torque. Ruf's engine will produce more than 750 hp (552 kW) and 604 … [Read more...] about Uwe Gemballa’s Son Gets Ruf To Develop Engine For Porsche Project
