Home Four wheelers oi-Kennedy Paul By Kennedy Paul Updated: Sunday, March 21, 2021, 7:33 [IST] 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show: Nissan Star Wars theme concept cars unveiled. Star Wars creator Lucasfilm and Nissan have developed six special edition cars based on the new Star Wars movie: The Last Jedi film. All the six concept cars are based on the company's most popular models in America: the Rogue and Rogue Sport (known in the UK as the X-Trail and Qashqai), Altima and Maxima. Each of these special editions is based on a character or a vehicle from the movie. Artists from Lucasfilm worked with Industrial Light and Magic to develop the concepts, which were then transformed into real cars by Californian firm Vehicle Effects. The vehicles, though, will not be available for purchase. Nissan will showcase them in other motor shows in the US. Recommended Video - Watch Now! Hyundai Veloster Could Soon Be Killed As Deals Dry Up For Quirky Hatch
However, Hyundai is incentivizing dealers to clear out their stock. The Hyundai Veloster has always been an oddity. The three-and-a-half door hatchback wiggled its way into consumers' hearts a decade ago, though sales have only fallen since 2016 as larger crossovers and SUVs gained in popularity. Mounting evidence suggests that Hyundai could be considering killing off the funky model, according to a new Cars Direct report, which looked at the incentives or lack thereof that the automaker is offering on the car. The publication discovered that the standard Veloster lacks any incentives from the automaker as of April 1 – no rebates, no lease deals, and no APR incentives. However, Hyundai is offering a Final Pay incentive, a special one designed to help dealers clear out stock, which looks to be working. Cars Direct found it "almost impossible" to find the model in stock, discovering around 200 Velosters for sale nationwide, many of which being the hotter N variant. Chevrolet Kills 1LE Performance Pack For 2022 Camaro Turbo, V6 Trims
It will only be offered on the SS and ZL1. Things are looking bleak for the Chevrolet Camaro . Sales continue to fall year over year, though the latest sales report from Q1 2021 shows only a 1.3-percent drop. Now, we're hearing that Chevy will cut the 1LE Performance Package from all Camaros that don't pack a V8 under the hood for the 2022 model year. 2021 Camaros are still in production at this point, but the General Motors 2022 dealer fleet order guide no longer lists the 1LE for four-cylinder or V6 models, according to Muscle Cars & Trucks . Currently, the package is offered on 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT versions of the Camaro with either the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder or the 3.6-liter V6 engine. It's not offered for the base model 1LS nor the V8-powered LT1. With its omission in 2022, the least expensive way to get the track-focused performance pack will be to choose the Camaro SS, which starts at $38,495. By comparison, a Camaro 1LT with the four-pot starts at … [Read more...] about Chevrolet Kills 1LE Performance Pack For 2022 Camaro Turbo, V6 Trims
Hungarian GP: Friday press conference
PRESS CONFERENCE Q: Christian, Max Verstappen is the man of the moment, having won two of the last three races. Can you just give us your thoughts on his current level of performance? Have you worked with a better driver? And how tough is it for any team-mate to match him? Christian HORNER: I think Max, not just in the last three races but during the course of the whole of this seasons, indeed pretty much Montreal last year, he’s been driving incredibly well at a very high standard. It’s certainly started to come together over the last few races. The win in Austria was a watershed moment, we were competitive at Silverstone, and obviously the race, the excitement of last weekend was a phenomenal performance by him, to keep his head, to have the pace in all varying conditions, and come out on top and win the grand prix. So, yeah, he’s in great form and you know, hopefully we can continue that form into the summer break and out of the other side as well. He’s certainly … [Read more...] about Hungarian GP: Friday press conference
Mercedes Promotes S-Class Parking Tech By Scaring Us With ‘Valet Guys’
You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll never use the valet service again. Here's a light-hearted way to say goodbye to winter in the Northern Hemisphere. Mercedes-Benz has been killing it lately with short, witty videos on a variety of topics. This time around we're treated to what's actually a two-minute commercial for the S-Class sedan , but you don't realize it until the 1:30 mark. That's okay, because you'll be a smiling fool up to that point. There could be multiple reasons for your smile, too. This video is called Valet Guys and as the name suggests, it follows the funny misadventures of three uncouth valet drivers who love to have fun in customer vehicles. Of course, by fun we mean handbrake turns, burnouts, J-turns, and yes, even high-flying jumps straight out of Ferris Bueller's Day Off. In fact, there's even a Ferrari cameo in this Mercedes clip (308, not a California) not to mention a classic Ford Mustang .
