Bengaluru-based electric mobility company, Ola Electric, has released the revenue numbers for the first two months of the Financial Year 2022-23. Between April and May 2022, the electric scooter manufacturer generated total revenue of ₹ 500 crore and the company says that it is well on track to surpass $ 1 billion or ₹ 7824 crore revenue by the end of the current financial year. Right now, Ola Electric commands a 50 per cent revenue share of the entire electric two-wheeler segment. WRC: India’s Gaurav Gill Sets Fastest Time In WRC2 Grid In Safari Kenya Rally
Representing India after a hiatus of two years, Indian rally driver Gaurav Gill clocked a time of 3m32.9s in SS1 - Super Special Kasarani of the World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally Kenya. The driver went on to set the fastest time in the shakedown in the WRC2 grid, 14.1 seconds of WRC1 driver Sebastien Ogier. Gill was last seen on the WRC2 rally circuit in Turkey and Australia in 2019 and returns to the championship driving the Skoda Fabia Rally 2 with Brazilian co-driver Gabriel. The Safari Kenya rally is considered one of the most onerous rallies in the world, where legends are fighting for the top title. Ola today announced that it has shut down the Ola Dash used car and quick commerce business. The company has decided to reorient its used vehicles business Ola cars, less than a year after it was launched. The company released a statement saying, “Ola has reassessed its priorities and decided to shut down Ola Dash- its quick commerce business. BIS Issues ‘Performance Standards’ For Two-Wheeler EVs
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the central standards setting agency under the Consumer Affairs Ministry of the Government of India, has formulated minimum performance standards required for electric vehicles in India. The performance standars have been formulated at a time when several incidents of fire in electric vehicles have raised safety concerns among consumers. Investigations ordered by the government are already underway into the recent spate of incidents of fire in EVS. According to the BIS, standards have been released for test specifications for lithium ion battery packs and systems. Multiple electric vehicles from across many major brands have been involved in incidents in the past few months.
