It was reported last month that the Tata H7X, the Tata Harrier’s 7-seat version, will debut at Auto Expo 2020. A new report from Overdrive says that the debut will take place in 2019.The Mahindra XUV500 is currently the only proper three-row unibody SUV available in India for a price of under INR 20 lakh, and Tata Motors plans to disrupt its market with the launch of the H7X. There’s also the opportunity of luring Jeep Compass customers by offering a plusher three-row model for the price of a five-seater.The three-row version of the Tata Harrier will carry a different name. Vivek Srivatsa, Head of Marketing, Tata Motors, revealed to IAB last week that the three-row version, that it will look “sufficiently different”. Indian carmaker Tata Motors will be launching its much-hyped Harrier SUV in January 2019. Now, a report by Autocar India is claiming that the seven-seat version of the Harrier will officially be unveiled at Auto Expo 2020. The seven-seater codenamed H7X is not expected to keep the Harrier (H5X) name when it hits the streets at the start of the next decade. The H7X seven-seater SUV from Tata Motors is expected to share most of its parts with the smaller five-seater Harrier. The H7X will be the new flagship of the Tata Motors lineup for India and will make use of Tata’s OMEGA platform that underpins the Harrier. The OMEGA platform from Tata Motors is a derivative of the D8 architecture developed by the carmaker’s British subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover. The Mahindra XUV is actually a crossover coupe which “takes the spirit of the cheetah and gives it an urban manifestation,” as the company stated in a press release. As we can depict from the two pictures below, the Mahindra comes with the XUV Aero kit, consisting of an extremely aggressive front fascia with LED headlights and mesh grille inserts. The XUV is also highlighted by the muscular fenders, custom tailgate, a coup-like roofline reminding us of the BMW X6, rakish windscreen as well as a new rear diffuser with a dual exhaust system.
