Hyundai has a new teaser video for its Ioniq 5 N electric crossover. The model is anything but a secret, with the company divulging some details about what we should expect from the N-branded EV over the last several months. A new teaser video shows the Ioniq 5 N in action, carving up snowy Sweden. The teaser shows a camouflaged Ioniq 5 N slipping, sliding, and dominating the snow-covered track alongside the brand's i20N WRC Rally 1 car, matching the rally car through the course. The exhilarating teaser ends with the sound of the N's electric motors whining possibly mixed with artificial sounds. We know the EV will have various audio features, such as fake gear changes and a rev limiter sound , to enhance the driving experience as people are used to hearing a car's engine. Weak and underutilised: McLaren lift the lid on major technical shake-up
McLaren’s Andrea Stella and Zak Brown have revealed how identifying weaknesses in their technical structure has led to their re-organisation. Ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, McLaren confirmed a full re-organisation of their technical leadership with executive technical director James Key removed from his role. Instead of a single person in charge, McLaren will be turning to an ‘F1 Technical Executive Team’, which will comprise three separate divisions, with all three divisions reporting directly to team boss Andrea Stella. Additional reporting by Michael Lamonato Technical Director for Aerodynamics will be Peter Prodromou, while the team have also signed David Sanchez as Technical Director for Car Concept and Performance – he will join Woking on 1st of January 2024 after a period of gardening leave from Ferrari. Listen to this article Erstwhile technical director James Key has departed McLaren , leaving a three-pronged new arrangement headed by three technical directors, namely Peter Prodromou (aerodynamics), Davide Sanchez (car concept and performance) and Neil Houldey (engineering and design). GM Will Face Class-Action Lawsuit Over Alleged Faulty Transmissions
A class-action lawsuit against General Motors over claims the automaker sold vehicles with alleged faulty transmissions will move forward with plaintiffs in 26 states. GM Class-Action Transmission Lawsuit Last week, a Michigan Judge certified 26 statewide classes of drivers who claim that GM sold vehicles with faulty transmissions that caused shudders and hard shifts that made the vehicles difficult to stop and sometimes made it feel as if they had been rear-ended. GM reportedly declined to comment on the litigation. 8-Speed Automatic Transmission Vehicles Involved The lawsuit involves more than 800,000 owners of 8-speed automatic transmission GM vehicles.
