The ND - Woodworking Art YouTube channel makes wood look like some sort of magical material that can turn into anything. In the skilled hands of an artist, chunky blocks of wood are assembled and shaved into all sorts of vehicles – from concept cars to tanks. The channel’s latest creation puts a spin on one of the most luxurious brands on sale today – Rolls-Royce. And it’s not just any model. The channel built a drivable, custom six-wheeled version. The build begins modestly, with the floor being cut into shape and reinforced with a metal chassis. The Rolls-Royce slowly comes together, with the axles, electric motor, and steering rack installed next. The body is slowly assembled with blocks of wood that need to be cut and shaved into shape. The wood’s hard, jagged edges slowly turn into soft curves and gentle rolls, with the car’s silhouette shifting to resemble that of a modern Rolls-Royce. We’ve seen plenty of fast BMWs on the Autobahn. But we have never seen anything like this particular M5 from the E60 generation. This is by far not a stock car and it is actually a one-off we’ve written about back in 2009. During the golden years of WorldCarFans , this beast had the "most powerful engine" ever seen on a "road-legal BMW." These are not our words. They come from Lumma Design and G-Power , which are the two companies that cooperated to develop and build this monstrous M5. It is surely not the most powerful road-legal BMW anymore but is still quite an impressive machine. For upwards of 40 years, Bowling Green, Kentucky has been the birthplace of new Chevrolet Corvettes. The facility started with the then-new 1984 C4 Corvette, and it continues today with C8 assembly. Much of the plant was upgraded to make that happen, which is mentioned along with other interesting Corvette details in a new 42-minute feature from savagegeese on YouTube. Through this video, we learn that Corvette production is quite different from other Chevrolet vehicles and not just because the engine is behind the driver. For example, the process begins with individual body panels getting painted right away, then sent off for assembly sometime later. While this is happening, the aluminum tub is manufactured (technically it's the only Corvette component manufactured at the plant – everything else is merely assembled). The tub goes to the trim department where the interior, glass, and similar items are fitted. Racing games give players new perspectives not always available to drivers in the real world. The third-person view behind a car is a genre staple, giving racers a broader view of the track and their competitors. A new video recreates this perspective, dangling a camera off the rear of a Mercedes-AMG One. It highlights the supercar’s stunning backside and captures its raucous exhaust note. Powering the AMG One is a Formula One-derived turbocharged 1.6-liter V6 engine paired with four electric motors. The total system output is 1,049 horsepower (782 kilowatts). It can propel the supercar to 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in just 2.9 seconds. A run to 124 mph (200 kph) takes 7.0 seconds, topping out at 219 mph (352 kph).
