Home Car reviews oi-Stephen Gershom By Stephen Gershom Published: Thursday, June 30, 2022, 10:00 [IST] Not so long ago, Mahindra was a manufacturer of basic and rugged vehicles that boasted the capability to go anywhere in any condition while discounting a luxurious cabin altogether. Now though, things have changed. The latest SUVs made by Mahindra boast almost the same levels of ruggedness while having a cabin that is thousand times more luxurious. This sea change started with the launch of the first-gen Mahindra Scorpio back in 2002. Yes, it was exactly two decades ago, that the Scorpio turned things around for Mahindra. Back then, the Scorpio was an SUV that boasted an interior that one never thought would be seen on a Mahindra, and yet it boasted the go-anywhere capability and an engine that would last a million kilometres. The Scorpio brand grew over the years, with newer iterations coming into the picture. The … [Read more...] about Mahindra Scorpio-N Review — The Scorpio Becomes A Game-Changer, Once Again

But the home race for engine builder Renault, who had won the last two races on the French track, promised to be a strong venue for Williams. His weekend got off to a troubled start, however. This is a carousel. Use Next and Previous buttons to navigate 21 CHICAGO (AP) — Illinois Republicans on Tuesday chose conservative state Sen. Darren Bailey to take on Gov. J.B. 5 drawbacks to following your passion
(The Conversation is an independent and nonprofit source of news, analysis and commentary from academic experts.) Erin A. Cech, University of Michigan (THE CONVERSATION) After earning bachelor’s degrees in engineering and sociology, I was determined to do what I love. I headed straight to graduate school to investigate the social problems that frightened and fascinated me. For almost a decade, I told everyone I encountered – students, cousins, baristas at the coffee shop I frequented – that they should do the same. “Follow your passion,” I counseled. “You can figure out the employment stuff later.” It wasn’t until I began to research this widely accepted career advice that I understood how problematic – and rooted in privilege – it really was. The passion principle As a sociologist who examines workforce culture and inequalities, I interviewed college students and professional workers to learn what it really meant to pursue their dreams, which I will refer to here as the … [Read more...] about 5 drawbacks to following your passion
Rosberg suspects politics at play over porpoising
With all but Fernando Alonso said to have complained about porpoising during a driver briefing but only a handful standing by those comments to the media, Nico Rosberg says that’s the “politics in F1”. Porpoising, as it has been all season, has been one of the big topics discussed during the pre-race driver briefings. In Baku, Alonso was the only one of the 19 not to complain about the phenomenon that is a consequence of ground effect aerodynamics. Toto Wolf told Sky Germany: “All drivers got together and agreed that it’s a problem apart from one – Alonso.” But later when it came to speaking to the media, while there were definitely more voices calling for change, there weren’t 19 . That was put to Rosberg during Sky Sports’ Any Driven Monday with the 2016 World Champion putting the silence down to “politics” “Well, you know, that’s the politics in F1,” he said. “That always plays a big big role and, and the teams that are fastest of course don’t want any changes to … [Read more...] about Rosberg suspects politics at play over porpoising
F1 rebukes Piquet’s racist comments against Hamilton
Listen to this article Piquet directed a racial slur at Hamilton when speaking on a Brazilian podcast in 2021, recounting the clash between the seven-time champion and Max Verstappen at Silverstone. Motorsport.com Brazil editor Carlos Costa translated Piquet's comments, which said: "But the n***** put the car [on the inside of Copse]. Copse is a very high speed corner, there's no way two cars can make it side by side. He played dirty. His luck is that [Verstappen] got f****d. And [Hamilton] was very lucky." Although the podcast was recorded in November, it was recently uncovered on social media platforms - with Piquet's language being condemned by F1. "Discriminatory or racist language is unacceptable in any form and has no part in society. Lewis is an incredible ambassador for our sport and deserves respect," read the statement. "His tireless efforts to increase diversity and inclusion are a lesson to many and something we are committed to at F1." Mercedes also … [Read more...] about F1 rebukes Piquet’s racist comments against Hamilton
