IHS Markit data shows Buick is the only Detroit automaker with a majority of female customers. After years of steadily increasing sales, nearly every automaker saw a sales decline in 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic played a major role in that, and Buick was no exception with a year-over-year drop of 21.4 percent. However, Buick leads other GM brands – and indeed all other automotive brands – when it comes to feminine appeal. 56.1 percent of vehicle buyers who opt for a Buick are female. That's the word according to a recent report from The Detroit Free Press . Speaking with statistics firm IHS Markit, the report focuses on female buyers and automotive brands in the United States. The data stems from registrations for new and used vehicles, and from that perspective, it's clear Buick holds a distinct advantage. The American version premieres on March 16. The teaser image shows off the Stinger's updated headlights that now have two strips of running lights on the top and bottom of the lamp. It appears almost identical to the design on the South Korean model. The only major change is the amber turn signal at the corner of the American version. There might be other subtle changes like the tweaks to the lights on the American-market model, but they should be largely the same.
