This is a follow up of my earlier review here on CarAdvice. The previous review was submitted at the one-year mark. I have now owned my Kia Sorento for four years, and I would like to share my experiences over those years. At the risk of repeating myself, we were looking for a family hauler at the end of 2014. We test drove all seven-seat SUVs on offer, and our shortlist consisted of Toyota Kluger and Kia Sorento. The Kluger was a petrol guzzler (and a little expensive for what it offered) and we settled on Kia Sorento Platinum (in runout at the time), which had a lot of extras and with a seven-year warranty. The features list is quite long, and again this is covered in my earlier review. So how did the Sorento fare over four years of ownership? I would say extremely well. We live in North Queensland, on the east coast, and I had to do regular trips out west to Mount Isa, and it has been a pleasure covering the 900+ km in single days. Seats are comfortable (having ventilated seats … [Read more...] about 2014 Kia Sorento Platinum (4×4) review

Jalopnik Reviews All of our test drives in one convenient place. The 2020 Kia Telluride is a first for the automaker—a mid-size crossover truly big and beefy enough to compete with the Volkswagen Atlas, Toyota Highlander, Mazda CX-9, and other SUVs in its class. It’s highly competent, comfortable, and, dare I say, even fun. (Full Disclosure: Kia flew me to Colorado, put me up in a fancy hotel, fed me and made alcohol available, all so I could spend several hours in the new Telluride. We also drove to, yes, Telluride, Colorado. [The car is named the Telluride.]) The days when Kias were tiny econoboxes with, shall we say, questionable build quality are a distant memory. Kias of the ‘10s have been among the most reliable cars on offer today, a winning on combination of value and quality, and solid proof that the company learned from its early mistakes. The Telluride offers a different proposition altogether. It seems perfectly timed to an American market that is … [Read more...] about The 2020 Kia Telluride Is Really Big and Really Good
Overview (Final Score: A) The 2019 Kia Sorento continues with the current-generation of the midsize crossover-SUV, building on the winning three-row design Kia introduced a few years ago. Refreshed for this new model year, the Sorento makes some changes to powertrain options and making the third row a standard feature. The 2019 Sorento is a well-considered, well-priced option for the family needing three rows of seating on occasion and the versatility and usefulness that a family crossover provides. Options for the Sorento range from utilitarian to luxurious, hitting every budget with a Sorento to fit. The 2019 Kia Sorento is upgraded with some exterior styling changes, a new transmission for the V6 engine option, and with more standard equipment than before. The Sorento is now offered in five trim levels with two engine options and either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Seating for up to seven is standard in all 2019 Sorento models. April showers might bring May flowers, but car shoppers may wish it rained more deals. Autodata Corp. ranks April among the bottom three months for new-car discounts during each of the past four years. In 2017, baseball's opening month was the single worst month for incentives. Talk about dreary. Related: How to Use Incentives, Rebates and Finance Deals But don't declare a rain delay on your shopping just yet. The storm clouds have a silver lining, at least this year: New-car incentives last month gained 6.5 percent year-over-year, per Autodata, for the second largest increase in the past seven months. Amid an overall incentives plateau, March's gains could add some steam heading into April — a month that needs all the help it can get. We still found plenty of highly discounted models, with many this month from GM and Hyundai-Kia. What should deal-seekers consider? Take a look below. Chevrolet Malibu How much can I save?
