Tweet TweetAfter teasing a concept estate version of the CLS four door Coupe quite a while back in the spring Mercedes just announced an interesting bit of news. Motivated by appropriate public response Mercedes announced that a production version of the Shooting Break CLS will be available by 2012. No matter how much the Stuttgart based manufacturer tries to keep the secrecy we know a lot about what should be happening with the 2012 Mercedes CLS Shooting Break. For starters a most customers will be expecting for the version with the 5.5 liter twin-turbocharged V8. No matter if it will be the 2012 Mercedes CLS Shooting Break 500 or the AMG 55 version, that’s the engine to have. No matter what engine you get under the bonnet you’ll get something special with this Mercedes estate. Just like the CLS, the CLS shooting break brings some serious style to a segment that’s almost always lacking. The production version of the Tata H5X concept SUV, first shown at the 2018 Auto Expo, has been spotted testing again. The heavily camouflaged car in these images looks to be the smaller 5-seater version, unlike the 7-seater car seen recently. The front three-quarters view in these images is almost identical to the concept but with the wheel arches, bumpers and side skirts being toned down to make them more viable for production. The lighting arrangement also seems to have not been changed too much, although how much of the aggressive detailing of the show car carries over remains to be seen. Incidentally, the S-Cross beside it in the image gives an indication of the substantial size of the car. The production H5X will be powered by the Multijet II engine from FCA, as seen in the Jeep Compass, in two states of tune - 140PS for the 5-seater version and 170PS for the 7-seater. Both two and four-wheel drive will be available and transmission options will be a 6-speed manual and automatic. … [Read more...] about Tata H5X production version spotted testing again
Tata Motors had commenced road testing of the production Tata H5X just days before it debuted as a concept at Auto Expo 2018. Recently, the production version was spied on the roads yet again, by RushLane reader Bhoomi Patel. The Tata H5X test mule is fitted with temporary headlights and turn indicators, but the silhouette of the slim headlights are visible. The production version incorporates large lower grille and beefy tyres as well. Its proportions look largely the same as that of the concept. The design hiding underneath the camouflage isn’t all that different either, as Tata Motors’ Head of Design Pratap Bose has said that 80-85% of the concept is going into production. The Tata H5X will reach showrooms as the company’s first production model underpinned by the D8 platform sourced from Jaguar Land Rover. It is said to employ FCA’s 140 hp 2.0-litre MultiJet II diesel engine. Transmission choices should include 6-speed manual and 9-speed automatic. Tweet TweetThe British at Aston Martin have been taunting us with the V12 Zagato for some time now but we’re finally getting to see what it will be looking like in production version. An official unveiling is still scheduled for the Geneva Motor Show this March but the gist of what the new road car is about is here. Design wise the Aston Martin V12 Zagato keeps most of the the panels as the racing car but loses all of the overdone aerodynamic addons. It’s not as big as the one they raced around the Nurburgring, but it still feels as if it is not needed. Apart from that you get the best of Aston Martin’s offerings. A big, sonorous, naturally aspirated V12 engine, an interior of incredible quality, a limited edition and craftsmanship that’s second to none. Allegedly some 2.000 man-hours are put into shaping the bits of the body. And that’s just for the ones that aren’t made out of carbon fiber. The price for all this awesomeness is just over half a … [Read more...] about Aston Martin V12 Zagato production version unveiled
Looking back at the earlier spy shots of the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63, we just can’t help but notice a tiny detail in one of the photos. An image in the series of spy shots shows the AMG GLE being towed by the G-Class, but in the background was another prototype. Could this be the production version of the Mercedes-Benz EQA, or an auto heavily-based on the concept car we saw last year in Frankfurt? While it is hard to make out the full features of the prototype in the background because the shot only displays its front and it is clad in camo, it appears to be a compact car. The diamond grille design is also reminiscent of the styling presented by the Mercedes-Benz Concept EQA. Then, there’s the smooth hood of the car that seems to have adopted the new Aesthetics A design language of Mercedes. The lighting and air intakes in the bumper appear to be different from the concept vehicle though. With these developments in place, it won’t be long until we find out the real … [Read more...] about Is This the Production Version of the Mercedes-Benz EQA?
