Picture: JOHN STILLWELL/PA William was 15 years old and Harry just 12 when their mother Diana died in a Paris car crash. The Duke and Prince appear to have dealt very differently with the emotional fallout following their bereavement, with William seemingly coping better with his feelings of “anger” while younger sibling Harry admits to receiving professional help. The Royal brothers chose the 20th anniversary year of Diana’s death to begin talking candidly about how they are still grieving. The backdrop to the year has been William, Kate and Harry’s mental health campaign, Heads Together, which has encouraged people to speak about their problems or be a … [Read more...] about How talking has help Prince William and Prince Harry cope with grief over Diana’s death

Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, is a known motorcycle enthusiast. While he’s said to have nearly given up riding after having kids, the Prince is still known to take an occasional spin on motorcycles he fancies. While inaugurating the recently held Commonwealth Summit, Prince William took some time off to check out the Interceptor 650, a motorcycle that Royal Enfield will soon launch. The Royal Enfield head honcho Siddharth Lal was around to show Prince William the motorcycle. In the recent past, Prince William has been spotted taking a quick spin on a Triumph motorcycle at the bike maker’s Hinckley factory in the UK. Notably, the Royal Enfield Interceptor and Continental GT 650 twins will first be launched in the United Kingdom and European markets in a few weeks from now, after which it will make it to the Indian market. Everyone's favourite royal couple, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, will become the Duke and Duchess of Uxbridge after they get married, it has been announced. It is understood that His Royal Highness has chosen the titles himself due to the seriously good time he had in the town during the late 2000s. The press was banned from reporting it at the time but Harry and brother William spent most Saturday nights in the town's pubs and clubs for a number of years. A source close to the Royal Family explained: "Everyone thinks that the princes spend every weekend ski-ing, playing polo or shooting pheasants. "But the reality is they are really normal guys. Rather than pretentious clubs in Chelsea or Mayfair they would prefer to head to Uxbridge where nobody was that bothered about how stinking rich they were. "They have had some epic nights out, although Harry was barred from Liquid for a while after a bouncer accused him and a young woman from Yiewsley of getting a little bit too frisky on … [Read more...] about Prince Harry & Meghan Markle to become Duke & Duchess of Uxbridge
It might be difficult for some to imagine, but there are plenty of people who don’t actually have a great interest in the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton held today. Even for car enthusiasts, though, there are a few details that might make watching a DVR-ed recording of the wedding worth viewing. Prince William drove an Aston Martin Volante outside Buckingham Palace with a license plate reading “JU5T WED.” There was more to the drop-top Aston Martin than you could see on TV. The Aston Martin, which belonged to Prince Charles, runs on E85 bioethanol made from English wine wastage, Reuters reports. An Aston Martin DB6 Volante is pictured in the gallery below. A mix of Jaguars, Rolls-Royces, and Bentleys provided most of the automotive transport for the day, though the newlywed couple was followed by a Range Rover. Middleton’s mother was taken to Westminster Abbey in a chauffeured Jaguar. A 1977 Rolls-Royce Phantom VI specially made for … [Read more...] about Royal Coaches: Cars of Prince William’s Wedding
What have David Beckham, Prince William, Princess Kate and Kate Moss got to do with the British car industry? Funnily enough, everything, especially if you subscribe to the theory that it’s a case of when, not if, the Chinese-owned car makers start to prevail throughout the global industry. Even so, discovering that fact at the Bao Shan MG dealership on the outskirts of Shanghai was a surprise. The visit, arranged, by MG, was designed to get a flavour of this booming car market; what I had underestimated was just how strong a part Britishness and heritage plays in persuading Chinese buyers that MG is the brand for them. Here was a large dealership, part roomy, pristine and impressive, part looking like someone had thrown together a parking lot on a particularly unkempt piece of ground. Given it was next door to a Bentley dealership and up the road from similar Ford, Audi and Kia dealerships, the ramshackle outside jarred with the ordered calm inside. But here was the rub. This MG … [Read more...] about What have David Beckham, Prince William, Princess Kate and Kate Moss got to do with the British car industry?
In case you live on a desert island and have managed to miss today’s Royal engagement news (yet can still mysteriously log on to CAR Online), Prince William and Kate Middleton have this morning announced their engagement. This got us thinking. The happy couple need a suitable set of wheels for the big day in spring or summer 2011, so who better to assist than CAR! Here's the quandary. The royal family has been modernising in recent times, so a horse-drawn carriage is soooo Queen Victoria, and the fuel bill for Grandma’s Rolls will surely result in mass hysteria if the tabloids become privy to it.So we need something modern. Ideally with ecological credentials. Something suitable for the wedding of the decade. We've thought long and hard and come up with a handy shortlist. Will and Kate – if you’re reading this, let us know. You have our number still, yeah?A thoroughly modern slant on a favoured marque of the Royals ProsIt kind of looks like daddy’s DB6 if … [Read more...] about What car should William and Kate drive to the wedding?
