She won for reading her memoir "Finding Me." In doing so, she became the 18th person - and third Black woman - to ever achieve the honor. "I just EGOT!" Davis shouted as she accepted the award. Davis began her work in theater, but her career has spanned from Shondaland to the DC Comics universe (where she played Amanda Waller in both "Suicide Squad" films and "Black Adam"). 50 Most Expensive Cars In The World
When it comes to high-end hypercars and super-fast supercars, a few companies should come to mind first: Bugatti, Ferrari, Koenigsegg, Rimac, and Pagani, among others. The group includes hybrid Ferrari convertibles, an American speed king , a few electric Hypercars , and two a one-of-a-kind Rolls-Royce cars built for royalty. We should note, though: The prices listed here are the price of the vehicles when new. So we’re not counting auction cars like the Ferrari 250 GTO, or overpriced secondhand sales. Listen to this article The kid who won a championship in his 2010 Mello Yello Drag Racing Series rookie season has now won five of the category’s eight 2017 races, earning his fifth victory of the year at the 30th annual Toyota Sonoma Nationals held this past weekend at Sonoma Raceway. Until this season, it was just LE, brother GT and father Gary Tonglet traveling from race to race by truck. “Last year we were working on the bike, driving to a lot of places… it was a lot of time involved,” Tonglet said. There was a lot of stress involved in making every race and earning his stripes as a firefighter, Tonglet’s weekday job. Toward the end of his 2016 championship season, Jerry Savoie of WAR realized the best way to amplify his NHRA program was to add another motorcycle. “My crew chief suggested it,” Savoie said of Timothy Kulungian, who makes the tuning decision for both motorcycles. “When you look at a lot of teams out here that are making eight runs in qualifying when we … [Read more...] about Will Tonglet earn his second NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle title?

Tanner Gray to graduate to Pro Stock
Listen to this article The teenager, who says he has been around drag racing “since I was nine or 10 years old,” tested his father’s Pro Stock car at Rockingham Dragway, after initially testing crew chief Dave Connolly’s bracket car. With reference to Shane Gray’s four Pro Stock wins and Johnny Gray’s seven Funny Car victories, Tanner Gray commented: “I think it’s really cool to be able to do what they’ve done. I’m pretty excited. “I’ve known about it for a while and I’ve gotten to test so I’ve kind of calmed down a little bit. I think I would have been lost if it wasn’t for Dave letting me drive his bracket car, just getting used to the speed and how the car reacts. Driving his Cobalt helped a lot more and sped up the progression.” Tanner Gray began his career in Junior Dragsters, yet later moved to dirt oval tracks where he raced Mini Sprints. He has raced Outlaw Karts, 360 Sprint Cars and midgets before competing in Late Model Stock Cars this year. Two weeks ago, … [Read more...] about Tanner Gray to graduate to Pro Stock
