It seems like we've heard this before. It seems like new rumors crop up on an almost monthly basis about Fiat Chrysler Automobiles merging, selling, or otherwise doing something with its various automotive brands. According to Automotive News Europe , the latest is that Chinese manufacturer Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. (GAC) might be seeking to buy a portion of FCA, and in particular, Jeep . FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne denied those rumors, however, at the Detroit Auto Show last Monday during a press conference. Jeep is currently pretty busy, launching the refreshed Cherokee , preparing the Renegade for a facelift , and revealing the Grand Commander in China, but this hasn’t stopped the automaker from adding a new special edition to its European lineup. Meet the Grand Cherokee S, which is already available to order in several markets on the Old continent. Visually, the range-topping edition differs from the regular variants of the model with its 20-inch wheels, blackened lower and upper grilles in the front bumper, tinted windows with black chrome surround, and dual exhausts with black chrome finish. The same color theme continues inside the cabin, where we find black wood finishes and black instrument panel accent stitching. Caught from afar, the next-generation CR-V doesn't look so compact anymore. The fifth-generation Honda CR-V was unveiled towards the end of 2016 and got a facelift about three years later. Fast forward to March 2021, our spies have put their extra-long telephoto lens to good use by catching on camera from afar a prototype of the new crossover while undergoing handling tests at a facility somewhere in Europe. With this being only our first look at the sixth-gen CR-V, it's no wonder the prototype is covered in camouflage from front to rear. That said, we can't help but notice the crossover seems to have grown in size while the front and rear overhangs continue to be quite large. The design is familiar but with some noticeable tweaks. A recent spy shot caught the body-in-white of what appeared to be the next-gen Toyota Land Cruiser. Now, a rendering from Kolesa imagines how the new SUV looks in the road-ready form with elements like a grille, glass, and trim. As the comparison below shows, Toyota is not giving the next-gen Land Cruiser a revolutionary design update. The grille is familiar but with new headlights. Towards the back, the D-pillar now has an upward-sweeping kink, rather than the boxier appearance from the current model. At the back, the changes are similarly subtle. There's another good view of the new D-pillar. The taillights have a more angular appearance, and the hatchback has a more chiseled appearance.
