India based electric two wheeler company Okinawa Scooters has opened the bookings for its electric scooter, the i-Praise. Dubbed as ‘The Intelligent Scooter’ scooter by the company, its booking can be done at all dealers with a token amount of Rs 5000. This makes it yet another Indian brand to jump into the electric two wheeler bandwagon. Currently, there are more than 200 Okinawa scooters authorized dealerships across the country. The i-Praise electric scooter features a detachable lithium-ion battery that boasts a short charging time of just two to three hours. According to the company, it is among the main USP of the scooter. The lithium-ion batteries used on the scooter a lot lighter as compared to Lead Acid battery which makes it light to operate & ride. In fact, the company claims that there is a weight difference of about 30% to 40 % as compared to other batteries. Indian carmaker Tata Motors is all set to launch the Harrier SUV in January 2019. As of now, Tata Motors has not officially opened bookings for the Harrier but reports emerged earlier today that a dealership had accepted a single booking for the upcoming Tata SUV for Rs 50,000. However, now Autocar India is reporting that Tata Motors has made a statement in which the carmaker has stated that the dealer was compelled to take the deposit and that dealer had been instructed to refund the amount and cancel the booking. Royal Enfield has confirmed it will open bookings for the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 in India in Q3 FY2018 (October-December). The Royal Enfield 650 twins are likely to launch before the end of this year in the country.The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 made their world debut at the EICMA 2017. Kawasaki India has opened bookings for the 2018 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R. The minimum booking amount is Rs 3 lakh and customers can reserve their ZX-10R at any Kawasaki dealership in India. The 2018 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is expected to be launched in India by the end of June 2018 or early July 2018. The company has chosen to ditch the CBU route and instead will assemble the ZX-10R at its Chakan facility near Pune. The kits will be imported from Japan. Kawasaki is looking to price the bike at a competitive price, lower than the cost of the outgoing ZX-10R. The CKD assembly is what will help it achieve this. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is powered by a 998cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four cylinder engine that develops 197PS and 114Nm.
