Years of the "Baywatch" star's diaries, VHS tapes and personal photos provide unpolished snapshots of her life, leaving audiences with a rough portrait of the person behind the packaging. The first of 15 drivers who will contest Formula 1’s new all-female junior series has been announced. Advert | Become a Supporter & go ad-free ART Grand Prix, one of the five teams which will contest the inaugural championship, has signed 25-year-old Swiss racer Lena Bühler as the first member of its three-strong squad. Bühler began karting seven years ago having previously raced BMX bikes. She moved into racing cars in 2020, finishing 15th in the Spanish Formula 4 championship. The following year she moved into the Formula Regional European series with R-ace GP, managing a best finish of 20th. Her return the following year was cut short, but she returned to racing in the Formula 4 UAE series this year. The FIA has started an applications process for new teams to enter Formula 1 from 2025. Advert | Become a Supporter & go ad-free The governing body of motorsport announced “the official launch of an application process to identify prospective teams seeking to participate at a competitive level in the FIA Formula One world championship.” Successful new applicants may choose to enter in 2025, 2026 – when new technical regulations are due for introduction – or 2027. The FIA says it will determine which if any candidates are chosen based on “the overall long-term interests of the championship, together with the applicable regulations and governance arrangements.” Its criteria for judging which teams are permitted to enter will cover eight points. JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli police on Thursday arrested an American tourist after he allegedly knocked down and broke a statue of Jesus in a church in Jerusalem's Old City. Images on social media showed the statue laying horizontally on the floor after apparently being pulled down from a stand at the church. The incident occurred in the Church of the Flagellation, which is located on the Via Dolorosa, the route believed to have been walked by Jesus to his crucifixion. Police said they made the arrest with the assistance of a church security guard. Video on social media showed a man sitting atop the alleged vandal who is heard saying “you can't have idols in Jerusalem, this is the holy city.” Police said the man's mental health was being assessed. The American Embassy declined to comment. The incident came as tensions run high in Jerusalem and the region following a bloody week. Rian Johnson's 2019 mystery "Knives Out" features an unlikely but convenient fact: The protagonist vomits whenever she lies. This advisedly clunky emphasis on fibs and their detection is something of a Johnson trademark. One non-villainous character in his 2022 Netflix film "Glass Onion," for instance, indicts some others with a tellingly ornate accusation: "You would lie for a lie, but you won't lie for the truth." The point isn't honesty, exactly; Johnson's approach is a little more complex. "Poker Face," Johnson's new Peacock series, takes this preoccupation - and the director's longtime love of mysteries and detectives - to its logical conclusion.
