The new Audi S5 Sportback will be the brand's next model to be introduced in the country and is expected to go on sale sometime this month. The new S5 Sportback from Audi will be imported to India via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route. This will translate to prices of the S5 Sportback to be in the range of around Rs 65 - 70 lakh, ex-showroom (India). Once launched, the new Audi S5 Sportback will take on the likes of the Mercedes-AMG C 43 and also the upcoming BMW M340i xDrive. The 4-door Sportback is expected to be powered by a 3.0-litre V6 TFSI engine. It produces 349bhp and 500Nm of peak torque and is paired with an eight-speed tiptronic automatic transmission unit. It’s not a completely stock vehicle, despite the unmodified W12 engine with 600 horsepower (447 kilowatts) and 664 pound-feet (900 Newton-meters) of torque, as it now features a roll cage and racing seats, onboard fire suppression system, and a custom exhaust system, developed by Akrapovic. Williams had planned to present its new car via an augmented reality app, only for hackers to force the team to abandon the idea and remove the app from digital platforms. The team issued the first renders of the FW43B on Friday afternoon, revealing a striking new livery design for the new car that will be raced by George Russell and Nicholas Latifi. While the front of the car has retained its largely white-base design, the rear looks completely different, sporting a blue striped pattern that also incorporates the Williams 'W' logo. Haas F1 driver Grosjean was involved in a huge accident on the opening lap of the Bahrain Grand Prix at the end of November that saw the chassis of his car tear in two, leaving the main monocoque lodged within a barrier. A huge fire was sparked during the accident, but Grosjean was able to escape from the fire with no serious injuries, sustaining burns to his hands upon escaping the cockpit.
