Justin says getting married was the most immediate item on his agenda. This also appears to be the first time Bieber acknowledges Hailey as his bride-to-be on camera. She was a bit more bashful than he was being put on the spot, but sure seemed to appreciate the sweet shout-out. We broke the story ... Justin proposed to Hailey earlier this month in the Bahamas. She obviously said yes, and was more than happy to flaunt the huge engagement ring he bought for her ... which set him back $500,000 give or take. There’s no automotive segment in Malaysia that is quite as competitive as the B-segment sedan market. The crossover may be the darling of the car-buying public right now, but the affordable three-box, four-door with a small engine and a big boot remains firmly in the mainstream, and pretty much every mass-market carmaker that has a proper foothold in the Malaysian market has an entry in this cutthroat sector. For years, the Toyota Vios and its arch-rival, the Honda City, have sat at the top of the food chain, being the progenitors of the genre. At the time when the latter was an ungainly Jazz sedan, the world’s largest carmaker showed with the original Vios that you could have a handsome, reliable sedan for minimal outlay, and it established an early dominance. Fast forward to today, and the City has turned into a formidable competitor, with thrusting, square-edged styling hiding a new drivetrain and plenty of new toys. Hamstrung not least by an engine and gearbox … [Read more...] about DRIVEN: 2016 Toyota Vios review – new heart, but any better?
With 755 horsepower on tap and big sticky tires, no one expected the Corvette ZR1 to be slow in a straight line. But the numbers it lays down, as confirmed by Corvette project manager Harlan Charles at the Sebring 12 Hours earlier this month, are truly bonkers for a rear-wheel drive car. The headline figures, per Corvette Blogger: Zero to 60 mph in 2.85 seconds, 0-100 mph in 6.0 seconds, and a 10.6-second quarter-mile at 134 mph. Charles himself told Corvette Blogger that these numbers are legit. It isn't said if these figures were set with the ZR1's standard seven-speed manual or its optional eight-speed automatic, but we assume it was the latter. Advertisement - Continue Reading Below It'll come as no surprise that these numbers make the ZR1 the quickest factory Corvette ever—Chevy quotes a 2.95-second 0-60 mph run for the automatic-equipped Z06, a tenth of a second slower than the new uber-Vette. It also makes the ZR1 as quick as the last base-model all-wheel drive … [Read more...] about 2019 Corvette ZR1 Does 0-60 in 2.85 Seconds, Hits 100 in Six Seconds Flat
