DC Design is quite popular in the Indian market for its off-beat designs. Here is a Toyota Fortuner modified by the North East wing of DC Motors and it sure looks brutal in its new clothes. The modification job is based on the older-generation Toyota Fortuner. It is quite different from the Toyota Fortuner modified by DC earlier. It gets a new grille with elements made inside it. The all-black grille gets the DC logo on it. There is also a huge scoop placed on the bonnet of the Fortuner that gives it the masculine look. But it looks a bit overdone. Moving to the sides, the Fortuner gets flared wheel arches that get bolt-on to get the massive look. They actually increase the width of the Toyota Fortuner and make it look even more intimidating on the road. At the rear, the only changes are the DC logo and the blacked out chrome parts. Also, it gets an aftermarket bumper at both front and rear. The modified DC Design Fortuner looks different and will attract a lot of attention on the road … [Read more...] about Modified Toyota Fortuner from DC Design looks BRUTISH!

The time had come to buy a new pickup and the big question was, which of the excellent contenders on the market today would meet our needs. Our 2011 Chevrolet Silverado had served well but it was showing its age and lacked many of the convenience, safety and infotainment features of the latest-generation models. With a 30-acre horse farm we needed a full-size truck with towing capacity, but we also wanted a comfortable, well-equipped vehicle with a large cab and all the infotainment bells and whistles. Research led quickly to one leading candidate, the Ford F-150. What’s so special about it? Consider that the F-Series has been North America’s best-selling vehicle for decades, with 32 million sold since its launch in 1948; on average two are sold every minute. In 2017, Ford sold nearly 900,000 F-Series, comfortably outpacing the combined 800,000 total of General Motors’ Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra models. GM’s trucks are being replaced with an all-new … [Read more...] about Shopping for a new pickup

The Nissan Terra has started reaching dealerships in China. Here’s a walkaround video of the new SUV, showing its exterior and interior in detail. The Nissan Terra is based on the third-gen Nissan Navara pickup truck and the successor to the Nissan Xterra. The new frame SUV is a direct competitor to the Ford Endeavour (Ford Everest), Toyota Fortuner (Toyota SW4), Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Chevrolet Trailblazer and Isuzu MU-X. It is designed closely to the pickup truck it is based on, but features a more contemporary front fascia and a distinctive rear fascia, to differentiate itself as a PV. The Nissan Terra is 4,882 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,835 mm high. It has a 2,850 mm wheelbase. While reports said that it is a 7-seat SUV, the display unit does not have third row seats. However, there is apparently enough space to offer two more seats at the back as an option. The Chinese-spec Nissan Terra employs a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 184 hp and 236 Nm … [Read more...] about Nissan Terra exterior & interior walkaround [Video]
If you’re a BMW purist, you may want to stop reading here. Why, you ask? Because in a radical departure, your favorite Bavarian hatch is losing its key point of difference – that being its rear-wheel-drive layout. Ach nein! However is it really all doom and front-wheel-drive gloom for BMW’s next-generation A-Class fighter? To find out more, let’s illustratively explore further: The Ultimate Driving Platform? The current F20/F21 1 Series is an absolute hoot to drive on a twisty backroad. It’s fast, tail-happy and communicative. Unfortunately, the downside to this is cramped back seat accommodation, due to its rear-wheel-drive layout. To get around this packaging stalemate (and let’s face it, to spread costs for its FWD-based platform), BMW has switched to front-wheel-drive. But will it handle as good as its predecessor? Many skeptics have cast doubt, yet BMW is giving its best shot by using the automaker’s latest FAAR platform. Mind you, this … [Read more...] about New 2019 BMW 1-Series Hatch: What It Will Look Like And Everything Else We Know
