The Raptor gets a healthy price hike while the Tremor appears to be the value option. We can't wait to get our hands on the new Ford F-150 Raptor , and more importantly, the 700-plus-horsepower Raptor R . Ford gave us our first look at its tough new truck back in February without revealing key details like horsepower and pricing at the time. But we received a tip from the forum F150Gen14.com that supposedly shows the suggested MSRP for both the Raptor and the mid-range Tremor , which are both scheduled to go on sale later this year. Publishing what it says are leaked order guides for the 2021 F-150, the forum reports that the new Raptor will reportedly start at $64,145 – not including $1,695 for destination and delivery. The Tremor model, which gets a suspension upgrade and additional off-road tech over the FX4, supposedly costs $49,505. We've reached out to Ford to see if they can confirm these prices but haven't heard back from company spokespeople yet. If … [Read more...] about New Ford F-150 Raptor And Tremor Pricing Supposedly Leaked

Optional carbon fiber 20-inch wheels will be offered in two different finishes. As had been rumored , the 2017 Ford GT supercar will shave even more weight thanks to carbon fiber wheels. Compared to the car’s standard forged aluminum wheels, each optional carbon 20-inch wheel is about two pounds lighter, which Ford says reduces rotational inertia by 25 percent. The wheels are manufactured by Carbon Revolution, which also provides the carbon fiber rolling stock that come standard on the Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang . In addition to saving ever-important pounds, Ford says that the carbon wheels help damp vibrations that can cause road noise or a stiffer ride. Primarily, though, for a supercar like the Ford GT, the benefit is in reducing unsprung mass for the benefit of acceleration, braking, and handling. Ford GT buyers will be able to select their carbon wheels either in a matte finish or with a glossy clearcoat. Of course, many aspiring purchasers won’t be able to buy a … [Read more...] about 2017 Ford GT carbon fiber wheels save 2 pounds each
The US has the real Raptor, though, and a supercharged R version too. The Ford Ranger Raptor , no matter how much Americans want it, isn't happening on US shores . The little brother of the F-150 Raptor has become a staple offering of the Blue Oval in other parts of the world except for North America and now, Ford Australia has officially teased a sort of an upgrade to the diesel-powered truck called the Ranger Raptor X. It's a salty reminder of the Ranger Raptor's current forbidden status, but we're happy to report that Americans who want a smaller, off-road-ready truck aren't exactly missing out. Gallery: 2021 Ford Ranger Raptor X 6 Photos For starters, the Ranger Raptor X is mostly an appearance package based on the information released by Ford Australia. To give the midsize pickup an upgraded look, it gets a pair of extended leg sports bar and a set of … [Read more...] about Ford Ranger Raptor X Reminds Us Of Truck’s Forbidden Fruit Status
Sadly, we don't get a crystal clear look. Update: Looks like we were a bit off on originally identifying this as a Bronco Warthog prototype. Special thanks to the tipsters with knowledge on RTR who identified this Bronco as a special build headed to Moab. That's also confirmed by Vaughn Gittin Jr . on his Instagram account. With all the Bronco Warthog sightings recently it's an easy mistake to make; even the folks at Bronco Nation were caught unaware. But we're certainly keen to see what this wide, lifted, mean-looking off-roader is all about. We've seen quite a few spy shots of the Ford Bronco Warthog over the last several months, but we've never seen it like this. Truth be told, you might say this is an unofficial reveal since it's caught camouflage-free on this gooseneck car trailer. Too bad it's wrapped with enough clear plastic to keep it watertight in the event of a catastrophic flood. As such, even this "revealed" image posted by Bronco Nation doesn't really … [Read more...] about RTR Building A Bulked Up Ford Bronco To Conquer Moab [UPDATE]
