Step inside the cabin and you will be welcomed with a lot of room. Sadly, the interiors of the Duster turbo feels pretty basic and like on the outside, the inside should also have been given the red treatment. Hard, but good quality plastic has been used everywhere and there is some soft-touch cloth material on the door panels so that the interiors look slightly upmarket. Since this is the turbo variant we would have loved to see a full black interior layout. … [Read more...] about Renault Duster Turbo Review (First Drive): The Best Handling Mid-Size SUV?
“Clive is a man of few words but a lot of knowledge,” says Ruzewski. “He has just seen so much, absorbed it and applied it. He was very good as a manager because he knew how to get the opinions of the experts about various aspects of the cars, because he knew what questions to ask. So just as we practice laying the tools out beside the crashed car in a certain order and everyone has their assigned places around the car, we will be practicing these extraction procedures until they’re automatic. It’s all muscle memory. Believe me, we all sit in those trucks thinking of scenarios, thinking of extremes – What if this happens? What if that happens? – and so we know that the hundreds of times we practice are vital. That constant practicing that may shave 15, 20, 25sec off a rescue time may be the difference between us saving a life and losing it.” … [Read more...] about Opinion: IndyCar aeroscreens show lives matter more than looks
“But then three races later at Laguna Seca, I’m in the car with 1hr35mins to go and he says, ‘If you can get to the end of the race without pitting, then we should win.’ I think, ‘Oh shit, that’s not going to be easy,’ but all that stuff he taught me at Daytona, what he and Mike [Hull] wanted me to learn straight off the bat, is pretty much what led to that first win for the car a couple of races later. … [Read more...] about The best IMSA driver without a ride for 2020 is…
