Sovereign Auto, a dealer located in Flushing, Michigan, currently has what it claims to be the only right-hand drive C4 Corvette ZR-1 currently up for sale. That’s right. This 1994 ZR1 was converted when new to RHD at a cost back then of more than $30,000, meaning the original owner spent about $100,000 when you include the MSRP of some $68,000 on this monster of a Corvette back in the day. But then the car was apparently never exported to its intended market of Australia and has been stored in a climate controlled environment since new, in the interim covering just 3,856 miles! The ZR-1, of course, is the only Corvette ever to come with a DOHC or four-valve engine, with cylinder heads designed by Lotus and manufactured by Mercury Marine. It produced 405 horsepower, the most powerful ‘Vette until the C5 Z06 matched it in 2002. A story about the listing appears on bringatrailer.com, where readers have been questioning the dealer’s asking price of $68,000. … [Read more...] about Ready for Export 1994 Corvette ZR-1 with RHD Conversion and Only 3,856 Miles
Let's get the most salient details out of the way: The Hyundai Kona Electric will show up in California in the fourth quarter of 2018, and other "ZEV-focused states" will soon follow. We'd expect to see the Kona EV in dealerships along the East and West Coasts and in New England in early 2019. It'll have an estimated range of 250 miles from its 64 kWh lithium ion battery pack. Its electric motor sends 201 horsepower and 291 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels. Other markets get a lower-cost, entry-level model with less power and range, but the U.S. will only get this lone range-topping version. … [Read more...] about 2019 Hyundai Kona Electric gets 250-mile range rating in the U.S.
Toyota is talking emotions at launches. The spokesmen waxed eloquent about the design and engineering that focus on an emotional experience about the new Camry. Echoes were to be heard at the launch of the 2018 Yaris sedan as well. Now, I have learnt to take those words seriously, after driving the new Camry to and around the Dubai Autodrome! The significant changes in Yaris By the end of the Yaris launch, what rested within my notes was the very impressive fuel economy – 20.0 km per litre was 2.5 km per litre ahead of nearest competitor as per the presentation slide – and the visibly different positioning change of the dashboard and gear console. The console is slightly in-drawn and thus makes for space like never before and adds a tucked-away convenience to the storage at the root of the console. The new Yaris has grown in length by 15 mm to 4,425 mm, and sideways by 30 mm to 1,730 mm. This has added to the aerodynamics along with a wider and sportier look. As for … [Read more...] about Aerodynamic Yaris sedan means more miles

A modern homage to Ford’s racing heritage, the car celebrated the highly successful GT40 program of the 1960s, which won Le Mans an impressive four consecutive times. Exceedingly popular since its debut, the GT went into production for the 2005 and 2006 model years, during which time just 4,033 examples were produced. In addition to the stunning design, the Ford GT featured impressive performance, the likes of which hadn’t been seen from a production car built in Detroit. In the last few years, the collectable car market has seen the Mk. IV Toyota Supra rocket up in price thanks to its legendary status as a star car in The Fast & The Furious movie series, as well as its ability to handle absurd amounts of turbocharged power through its 2JZ engine. Advertisement - Continue Reading Below There aren't many clean, low-mileage stock examples of the Mk. IV Supra left, which is probably why this dealership is asking nearly six figures for an unmodified white 5,625-mile 1994 Turbo. If that's not crazy enough on its own, the car in question is also equipped with the less desirable four-speed automatic transmission, rather than the Getrag six-speed stick. Though the car seems to be in impeccable condition, $100,000 for a Supra of any kind is a little ridiculous, even with the current demand. Still, if you have the money to blow (and are willing to do a manual conversion), this Supra seems like the perfect car to start living your JDM fantasy. … [Read more...] about This Completely Stock, 5,600-Mile 1994 Toyota Supra Turbo Just Sold for $80,500
