Don’t expect any major changes on the updated Evoque; most of the same tech components appear to carry over. Considering the Range Rover Evoque has been around in its current iteration since 2011, it should come at no surprise that the SUV is getting a refresh. Our rendering artists have digitally imagined the exterior of the updated Evoque, but now spy photos show us what the cabin could look like when it reaches production. Similar styling to the current model carries over; a central touchscreen system – designated for navigation, radio, and other primary features – sits atop a larger touchscreen that controls HVAC functions. It looks almost identical to the current model, apart from the light restyling on the upper section which sees the flat, tablet-style screen now more integrated into the dash surrounded by sharper angles. Attacking the challenging corners of the Green Hell with a small luxury crossover is not something you see every day. If you’ve been keeping a close eye on the baby Velar, it means you have probably seen our spy shots from the end of March with a camouflaged prototype tackling the Nürburgring. Judging by the license plate, Land Rover is back at the Nordschleife with the same test vehicle and it’s really pushing it to the max through the numerous corners of the famous track. What in the world is a small crossover doing in a place such as the Green Hell? While the Evoque will prioritize comfort and luxury over anything else, it will also have to be fun to drive to better compete with segment rivals such as the BMW X1, Mercedes GLA, and the Audi Q3. As befitting the British luxury brand, the cabin is opulent, too. Like the coupe, the Continental GT Speed Convertible has a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter W12 that makes 650 horsepower (485 kilowatts) and 664 pound-feet (900 Newton-meters) of torque. An eight-speed dual-clutch transmission routes the power to an all-wheel-drive system. Gerry McGovern says Beckham exaggerated the role she played in designing the car. Land Rover ’s design director Gerry McGovern has hit out at Victoria Beckham – claiming the ex-Spice Girl exaggerated the role she played in designing the Evoque VB special edition. Speaking at the launch of the car in 2012, Beckham said: “I’ve designed a car that I want to drive, a car I think [husband] David wants to drive.” But, five years later, McGovern – who did design the Evoque – has told reporters that the star spoke out of turn while revealing the limited edition SUV which featured rose gold highlights and a bespoke his-and-hers luggage set. Expect a limited production run. The Porsche 911 comes in a variety of flavors, sometimes making it difficult to identify a nondescript prototype. A new batch of spy shots shows us a familiar-looking test vehicle – this isn't the first 911 with a ducktail spoiler we've spotted – but this new one has several distinct differences. Previous 911 spy shots captured a ducktail-equipped test vehicle sporting a Turbo model's rear haunches, with gaping air intakes puncturing the rear fenders. However, the new test vehicle in the latest batch of pics doesn't have those. The fenders are smooth, lacking the intakes, but that's not the only difference. A close inspection of the new prototype reveals it sports a double-bubble roof, which isn't present on the other 911 Turbo-like one.
