The Acura RDX got a redesign for the 2019 model year, and our readers gave our critique of the compact SUV a place among the top five most-read reviews of the week. Cars.com reviewer Jennifer Geiger had praise for nearly every aspect of the overhauled RDX, from its out-there exterior styling to its luxurious interior appointments and premium features. Related: More Expert Car Reviews One thing, however, gave Geiger pause: the brand's new multimedia system, called True Touchpad Interface. A touchpad controls a host of features on the 10.2-inch multimedia screen, but rather than clicking or dragging, areas on the touchpad are mapped to areas on the screen, so a tap on the touchpad is like a tap on a touchscreen. Makes sense, right? "Like a fifth-grader's volcano that erupts too soon at a science fair, the system is an experiment gone wrong," according to Geiger. What should be simple tasks took multiple attempts and a lot of trial and error to accomplish — neither of which … [Read more...] about Top 5 Reviews and Videos of the Week: 2019 Acura RDX Joins the Party

Over the past week, our readers have shown impeccable taste when it comes to vehicle styling, bringing the 2018 Lexus LC 500h into second place among our most read car reviews. In fact, more people read the review (many times over) during the last week than the number of LC 500h examples Cars.com reviewer Joe Bruzek found for sale on our site; he was only able to track down nine listed across the country when writing his review.Related: More Expert Car Reviews Bruzek has high praise for the LC 500h's looks, but the powertrain and driving experience are more of a mixed bag: Top 5 Reviews 1. 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Review: Plush and Poised, With a Push-Button Problem2. 2018 Lexus LC 500h Review: High Class and High Mileage3. 2018 Maserati GranTurismo Convertible Review: A Fine Wine Borders on Overripe4. 2019 Mazda CX-3 Review: Good Things, But in a Small Package5. 2019 Hyundai Veloster Review: Funky Fun Top 5 Videos 1. 2019 BMW X5: First Drive2. 2019 Nissan Altima: First … [Read more...] about Top 5 Reviews and Videos of the Week: Lexus LC 500h Attracts Admirers
The end of summer saw SUVs close the season out strongly among our most read reviews as the 2019 Mazda CX-3 led a quartet of them this week. A new arrival nearly knocked it off, however: If you haven't already met the all-new 2018 Jaguar E-Pace, now's a fine opportunity. Related: More Expert Car Reviews Published Sept. 13, our review courtesy Cars.com's very own Kelsey Mays notes that the E-Pace is handicapped by a shortage of cargo room and too firm a ride. But if you can live with that as a shopper, the E-Pace "boasts driving fun and more practicality than its size suggests. Those factors, combined with Jaguar's value-laden warranty and free maintenance provisions, should draw plenty of interest." As for our most watched videos, you people can't seem to stop watching our common-sense car hacks (not that I blame you; I constantly rewatch it to remind myself how defogging windows works, and I don't even drive that much). But there are two fresh vids you should check out that … [Read more...] about Top 5 Reviews and Videos of the Week: Say Hello to the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace
For a refreshing change of pace in our tally of the week's most popular car reviews, try the refreshed 2019 Mazda CX-3, which takes over the top spot from the perennially popular Jeep Wrangler. Though the CX-3 has charted before, this is the first time it ascends to the top of the order. Related: More Expert Car Reviews It hasn't taken long to climb that order, either. Published Aug. 31, reviewer Fred Meier — a fan of the CX-3 — notes that it "stands out for its looks, interior quality, sporty driving, safety tech and good gas mileage" despite some shortcomings with cargo hauling, fitting child seats and adverse winter weather. There's also a new leader on the video side of things. Whether it's putting a key fob to your chin for better range or just figuring out which side of the car your gas tank is on without getting out to check, our video of car hacks contains a few key tips you may not know you needed. And what's more, that's the only video from last week's top … [Read more...] about Top 5 Reviews and Videos of the Week: The 2019 Mazda CX-3 Takes Over
Once again, our review of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler sits atop our weekly rankings. Cars.com reviewer Aaron Bragman — himself a proud owner of the previous JK generation of the Wrangler — praises Jeep for doing away with the "yeah, buts" of buying a Wrangler with the new JL model. Second place, however, belongs to a newcomer to our rankings.Related: More Expert Car Reviews It's a newcomer to our site, as well. Only published Aug. 31, the 2019 Mazda CX-3 review rockets into second place. Calling it a car for those "who want the dessert before the meat and potatoes," reviewer Fred Meier praises the CX-3 for its styling and handling chops, while noting that the small, low-slung "SUV" is really more of a hatchback with limited backseat and cargo space compared to its rivals.
