Maruti Suzuki to hike prices by up to 2%
Buyers will have to shell out more for Maruti Suzuki products come June 2018. As per a report from CarDekho, prices of Maruti cars in India will be increased by up to 2%. There is no official word from MSIL in this regard yet. The report cites dealer level sources who claim the price hike will range from INR 5,000 - INR 25,000 depending upon the model. The increment in prices will encompass Nexa and Arena products from India's largest selling car maker. While the reason for the hike is unclear at the moment, it is likely to be an outcome of increased input costs with an increase in commodity prices, freight increase with hike in fuel prices along with the increase in custom duties. MSIL currently sells the Maruti Alto 800, Maruti Alto K10, Maruti Wagon R, Maruti Celerio, Maruti Swift, Maruti Dzire, Maruti Ertiga, and the Maruti Vitara Brezza through their regular Arena dealerships.
