Honda e has so many positives that you could almost forgive its so-so range and the high acquisition price. As a design exercise, there is little question about how successful the Honda e electric city car is. Sure, it may look like a retro-inspired car and that may have been done before, yet it has to be one of the most successful such designs ever. Some retro-inspired cars look a bit ridiculous and out of place; this Honda looks very handsome and fitting, though. But it’s not just a pretty (quirky) face - it’s also remarkably fun to drive, it has a very pleasant interior that can carry four adults and gadgets that place it among the top one percent most innovative cars. No, it’s not perfect, due to its low range and relatively high price, but if you get a chance to drive one, you’ll understand why I fell for it after spending just a few days driving it around the city. Design From the very first yards driving the Honda e in a big city environment, you notice just … [Read more...] about 2020 Honda e Advance Review: Lovable Retro Urban EV

Explained: Why Hamilton didn’t break F1’s rules for reversing on track
The F1 world champion had run wide through the gravel trap and nudged into the barriers at the Tosa hairpin on lap 31, after he hit a damp patch while lapping backmarker George Russell. Stuck against the barriers, Hamilton spent ages trying to work out how to get going again – with it pretty clear he needed to go backwards. After engaging reverse gear, Hamilton backed up all the way through the gravel trap and on to the track before getting going again. Such action raised eyebrows, however, with some suggesting that it was both dangerous and against the rules to reverse on to a live race track. It also triggered famous memories of the 1989 Portuguese Grand Prix when Nigel Mansell was given the black flag for having reversed in the pitlane after skidding past his pit crew as he came in for fresh rubber. However, while Mansell had the rule book thrown at him this day, Hamilton’s manoeuvre was given the all clear by the FIA. The reasons are actually quite … [Read more...] about Explained: Why Hamilton didn’t break F1’s rules for reversing on track
Stroll hit with post-race penalty, drops to eighth
The Aston Martin driver endured an eventful race at Imola while making the most of favourable damp conditions to finish seventh at the chequered flag. However, Stroll was judged to have breached regulations when overtaking AlphaTauri's Pierre Gasly following a post-race investigation, resulting in a five-second penalty. It was deemed Stroll left the track at the Tamburello chicane while attempting to overtaking Gasly earning a "a lasting advantage" from his off-track excursion. As a result of the decision Stroll will drop a position to eighth behind Gasly, who inherits seventh in the official race results. "The Stewards were informed after the race of an alleged breach. Having reviewed the video and heard from the drivers, the Stewards conclude that Car 18 was not able to complete his pass on car 10 at Turn 2/3 without leaving the track completely shortcutting turn 3 and returning on the track ahead of car 10," read a stewards report. "He then failed to give the … [Read more...] about Stroll hit with post-race penalty, drops to eighth

There are tiny headlamps in the corners, and LED strips run along the edge of the hood without meeting in the center. The Honda 'H' logo is illuminated, too. Even more LEDs appear in the lower fascia along the sides of the intake. Polestar 1 Shooting Brake Render Makes You Wish For The Impossible
Volvo contemplated this idea previously with the Concept Estate. By combining a vintage-inspired coupe with an efficient, yet powerful plug-in hybrid powertrain, the Polestar 1 is undeniably cool. Given that vehicle’s design evokes the Volvo P1800, it only makes sense to imagine the vehicle as a shooting brake like the later P1800ES (pictured below). X-Tomi Design already has a rendering that envisions the long-roof model. The higher roof appears to allow the fitment of more comfortable rear seats to replace the tiny bench in the back of the standard Polestar 1 coupe.
