O’Ward, who completed his first full IndyCar season in 2020 and finished fourth in the championship, will run an updated version of the orange-and-black livery seen on both full-season cars last year, with team partner Arrow prominent on the black sidepods. However, the #7 car of new arrival Rosenqvist – entering his third IndyCar season and now with a win to his name – will run blue on the sidepods, in front of the cockpit and the front wings, with Vuse (digital vapor e-cigarettes) as the prominent sponsor. Last year, the #7 and #5 were distinguishable just by the former’s blue wing endplates. Speaking ahead of the public launch Friday morning, Rosenqvist said: “I think both cars look amazing – although I obviously think my one looks the best. “I really like how they kept it clean and pretty similar to last year but now you can separate the two cars. That’s something that the fans asked for and it’s also easier for our spotters, to relate to a specific car.” … [Read more...] about Arrow McLaren SP reveals dual liveries for 2021 IndyCar season

Verstappen and Perez unsure F1 needs ‘risky’ sprint races
F1 is currently evaluating the introduction of sprint races on the Saturday of three events this year, running a 100km race that would set the grid for the Sunday grand prix. The plan received “broad support” from teams at the latest F1 Commission meeting, with further details currently being outlined by a working group. Hamilton: Singapore “almost worse than Monaco” to overtake
Early race leader Charles Leclerc 's tactic of backing up the field to help better preserve his tyres meant everyone was lapping several seconds off the pace in a long train of cars. And for Hamilton , the lack of passing spots was a key factor in limiting the potential for excitement. "This unfortunately, it is a really beautiful place that we come to and it is such a great track, but it is worse than Monaco almost. Was it as boring as Monaco to watch that race?" he asked reporters after the race. "Maybe we need to change the last corner so we stop in a hairpin and we have a tight hairpin to go around. "The [current] last corner, you cannot follow and it is a sequence of five quite fast corners that come up after where you never get close. That will make it even more special this track maybe." As it stands, the 2021 Ram TRX is the most powerful bone-stock truck coming from the factory without the need for electrification. The Hellcat-powered Ram 1500 makes use of its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 to churn out up to 702 horsepower (523 kilowatts) and 650 pound-feet (881 newton-meters). Those numbers are sent to all four wheels but, of course, there will be drivetrain loss, which could affect the numbers if measure at the wheels. Hennessey aims to discover the output at the wheels, as seen on its latest benchmarking video of the 2021 Ram TRX. Interestingly, the Texas-based tuner only measured the output at the rear wheels (not sure how on the TRX).
