Nick Baumgardner Detroit Free Press Published 8:01 AM EDT Sep 21, 2018 The non-conference slate is over and Michigan's quest to snap that Big Ten title drought (since 2004) is officially underway. But first, mailbag questions. Do you think Michigan has a lot more in the bag on offense? — @Kyle_Essenberg This continues to be the most popular question, though as explained last week, there are a few different conversations here. For those hoping to see something completely different with regard to the foundational schematic function of this system, don't hold your breath. They are not going to walk onto the field this week and run no-huddle spread for 60 minutes. For those hoping to see trick plays? I don't really know what to tell you other than the fact that you cannot make an entire offense out of flea flickers and transcontinental throwbacks. Jill Colvin Associated Press Published 1:21 p.m. UTC Jul 15, 2018 Glasgow, Scotland – President Donald Trump says “nothing bad … maybe some good” will come out of Monday’s summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump also says he “hadn’t thought” about asking Putin to extradite the dozen Russian military intelligence officers indicted this past week in Washington on charges related to the hacking of Democratic targets in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, but says “certainly I’ll be asking about it.” He also blamed the Democratic National Committee for “allowing themselves to be hacked.” The U.S. has no extradition treaty with Moscow and can’t compel Russia to hand over citizens, and a provision in Russia’s constitution prohibits extraditing its citizens to foreign countries. In the interview with CBS News, Trump says he’s going into the meeting in Finland with “low … [Read more...] about Trump sets expectations low for summit with Putin
New 250cc motorcycle:UM will be showcasing an all-new powerplant at the 2018 Auto Expo. Details about the engine is scarce and we expect it to be a single-cylinder, air-cooled unit employing carburettors for fuelling. It will be a much simpler engine in comparison to the liquid-cooled and fuel-injected motor as seen on the current range of motorcycles to keep cost low. Talking about numbers, the new engine will deliver around 20-22PS and around 18-20Nm of peak torque. The 280cc motor pumps out 25PS and 23Nm of peak torque. We also feel that UM might employ a 5-speed gearbox to keep cost under check. Styling of the new motorcycle will be similar to the existing UM range of cruisers. The new engine will play a crucial role in making the UM brand more accessible as the Renegade Sports S which is the most affordable bike in its range retails for Rs 1.6 lakh. We expect the new UM 250cc motorcycle to be priced between Rs 1.25 and Rs 1.5 lakh … [Read more...] about 2018 Auto Expo – What To Expect From UM
Suzuki SV 650:Suzuki’s initial CKD plan for India wasn’t successful as the Inazuma failed to impress Indian bikers, thanks to its high asking price and over zealous styling. But, the Japanese bike maker reaffirmed its commitment towards India when it decided to locally assemble its flagship motorcycle - the iconic Suzuki Hayabusa. By bringing in the Hayabusa via the CKD route, Suzuki was successful in reducing the price of the motorcycle by a significant margin and the end result was a sales figure of over 100 units per annum! And now, Suzuki is gearing up to ride in the new SV 650 into our two-wheeler space. So, what is the new SV 650? Well, it’s a middleweight naked motorcycle that’s more of a stepping stone for bikers looking for an entry-level performance bike. It follows a simple approach when it comes to styling - a bulbous tank, round headlamp with a small cowl, contrast finished trellis frame and a chunky … [Read more...] about 2018 Auto Expo: What To Expect From Suzuki?
Ford says the upcoming diesel version of the F-150 will carry a highway rating of 30 mpg.Don't believe it.I'd look for the diesel-powered F-150 to get at least 32 mpg and possible 33 mpg on the highway when it goes on sale this spring. Here's why I think the truck will get better than the 30 mpg Ford announced Monday: An automaker never makes a fuel economy announcement -- without an EPA certification -- if it isn't 1,000 percent sure that it can comfortably hit the target. The last thing Ford wants to do this spring is have an EPA label number on the F-150 diesel that is under 30. And fresh in Ford's recent past are the restatement of fuel economy ratings on its hybrid vehicles. You can bet Ford's calculators will have fresh batteries and engineers will have extra-sharp pencils when they run the certification tests on the F-150 diesel. And, frankly, any number under 30 for the F-150 diesel would be a shocking disappointment. The 30 mpg "announcement" this week was all about PR and … [Read more...] about Ford says 30 mpg for the diesel F-150; expect more
