It seems the upcoming F-Pace will not be Jaguar's sole crossover offering for a long time as the company's brand director Steven de Ploey told Autocar recently that "a family [of SUVs] is not confirmed but we are investigating it." He went on to specify the company has the tools to launch new high-riding models positioned above and below the F-Pace, but any new crossover wearing the Jaguar badge has to be "dynamically the most capable and it has to meet our design standards." The combustion engine develops 295 horsepower (220 kilowatts) at 6,600 rpm and 257 pound-feet (348 newton meters) at 4,900 rpm, while the e-motor has 60 hp (44.6 kilowatts). This gives the hybridized coupe a combined output of 354 hp (264 kilowatts) which will be enough for a sprint to 62 miles (100 kilometers) per hour in less than five seconds. The island state in the Persian Gulf is set to host F1’s sole pre-season test from 12-14 March before the season-opening race at the Bahrain International Circuit from 26-28 March. Bahrain currently has one of the highest COVID-19 vaccination rates in the world, with around 9% of the population already receiving both required doses. With a number of personnel due to be in Bahrain for the full three-week period covering both testing and the race, the country has now announced it will be offering them COVID-19 vaccines.
