Mercedes-Benz begins the fourth quarter with a triumphant announcement: a new sales record and the best October ever in the commercial history of the brand. The German brand sold 190,021 new passenger cars worldwide last month, an increase of 3.9 percent compared to the same month last year, with Mercedes maintaining its market leadership in the premium segment in key markets like Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Portugal, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Canada and the USA. From January to October, Mercedes-Benz delivered 1,905,108 vehicles (+0.3%). China was also the largest sales market for Mercedes last month. Sales increased by 9.2 percent to 50,231 units. From January to October, Mercedes-Benz delivered 550,938 vehicles to customers in China – more than ever before in the first ten months of a year (+12.7%).
