The mini-CLS has arrived. The CLA will go down in history as the first compact Mercedes models in the United States and it’s safe to say the previous generation has been an immense success. The regular version along with the CLA Shooting Brake forbidden fruit racked up approximately 750,000 sales worldwide and allowed Mercedes to lure in younger buyers who then decided to stick with the three-pointed star for their next car purchase. For the 2020 model year, the CLA is being redesigned and these live shots from the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas provide us with a better look at the car’s sharp exterior design and tech-laden cabin. Serving as a more stylish alternative to the A-Class Sedan, the new CLA is being featured in the adjacent videos in the Edition 1 flavor with plenty of standard kit and cosmetic tweaks, but it’s worth noting the limited-run model is not currently planned for the U.S. market. Friends, we now live in a world where the Ford Mustang has officially become a four-door crossover, and an electric one to boot. Calling the Mach-E a Mustang is a very controversial move on Ford’s part, punctuated by a petition started by Mustang expert and enthusiast Jimmy Dinsmore that currently has nearly 12,000 signatures from people wanting Ford to remove the Mustang branding from this vehicle. Is it the Euro-spec Ranger Raptor or something completely different? We’ll have to wait to find out. Gamescom is Europe's largest computer and gaming event. This year it will open its doors in Cologne, Germany on August 21st. But it won't be restricted to on-screen content exclusively. Ford plans to debut "a new performance vehicle" at this year's show. Exactly what that performance vehicle will be remains a mystery – but we have some ideas. Our best guess is the Ranger Raptor. Yes, technically Ford has shown the Ranger Raptor in the sheet metal, but the Gamescom-branded, European-spec Ranger Raptor that ran up the hill at Goodwood could be the most likely candidate.
