THE leafy town of Caterham in Surrey is famous for two things. 1. Caterham cars and 2. Having Britain’s worst rail service. Yep, worse than yours. The 09:24 from Caterham to London Victoria was late an incredible 240 times last year including every working day in October, apart from one day — when it was cancelled. A good excuse for a little race then (within speed limits, obviously). Car versus train. Caterham Seven versus Thameslink. Moi, in the motorised bathtub, versus my friend Alana on the train. Now the 09:24 train should arrive at London Victoria at 10:16, that’s 52 minutes, plus a six-minute walk to the meeting point at a swanky diner in Belgravia. Total journey time: 58 minutes. According to the RAC route planner, my 17-mile route up the A23 through Croydon and Clapham Common should take 68 minutes. Game on. (Please pretend you haven’t looked at the pictures and keep reading. Thank you.) Now, I’ll be honest. This is not the car I’d … [Read more...] about Sun Motors team races from Caterham to London . . . in a Caterham

PICKING the right SUV for your family can be like finding a needle in a haystack. The SEAT Ateca is just one of your options in the large SUV market - and it's up against an endless list of rivals. The Ford Kuga, Nissan Qashqai, Volkswagen Tiguan, Ford Edge, Kia Sportage, Skoda Karoq and Renault Kadjar all fit into the affordable, practical and family-sized category. It may seem odd to have so much choice but the reason is simple. Brits simply love the raised ride height, comfortable ride and extra practicality that a sports utility vehicle brings so much so that sales have boomed in the last few years. Every car maker wants a slice of the SUV pie. The Ateca is SEAT's first foray into the crossover world - now followed up by the smaller Arona. And it's priced pretty handily. An entry-level Ateca will set you back less than £20,000 - not bad for such a big car. But the reason you might choose a SEAT over a Ford, Kia or Skoda is the touch of Spanish flair. The Spanish firm - … [Read more...] about SEAT Ateca review: Stylish, spacious and priced under £20,000 – but can it stand out in the crowded SUV market?
2019 Ford Kuga Specs, Changes, Price – Ford Kuga has been in the market for a decade precisely since 2008. The second generation was introduced in 2012 and has been revised with some minor changes in 2017. However, the automaker is working on the new 2019 Ford Kuga that should come with a handful of updates. However, the Kuga should also be offered with a plug-in hybrid engine under its hood. But, for a PHEV version of the Ford Kuga, we’ll have to wait until the year 2021. In general, the Ford Kuga looks attractive, has a spacious interior with many standard features. However, the infotainment system is not as easy to use as expected, so this time we could see some changes in this area. In addition, compared to the most recent versions of SEAT Ateca and Peugeot 3008, the Kuga starts to look a little outdated. Then, to keep it fresh, the automaker could update it with new details. Under the hood, you have several engine options that include three gasoline engines and three … [Read more...] about 2019 Ford Kuga Specs, Changes, Price
