The unveiling coincides with the introduction of the NISMO performance brand in the Middle East where the 370Z NISMO and the GT-R NISMO will also be sold. It comes as a surprise that Nissan has decided to launch a sportier version of its large and heavy SUV, but they believe there is a market for a hotter Patrol tricked out by the firm's in-house performance division. Power comes from an evolution of the 5.6-liter V8 engine that now develops 428 bhp (319 kW) which makes it 28 bhp (21 kW) stronger than the standard configuration. There's no word about the torque figure just yet, but the stock engine has 412 lb-ft (560 Nm) and according to Nissan this beefier setup offers the entire torque across more than 70% of the rev range. Opel Kadett turns 80 years old after 24 million units sold
The German automaker's mainstay compact sedan has been in the game longer any rival. The Opel Kadett has reached a significant milestone, celebrating its 80th birthday. Its name may have changed to Astra in recent years, but few model lines can directly trace their lineage that far back in time. The first of 11 generations appeared in 1936. It was quite advanced for the time, featuring a unitary body, independent front suspension, and faired-in headlights. Just over 100,000 had been built when production stopped in 1940 and the factory was turned over to war production. But the Kadett name itself wouldn’t reappear until 1962 on what is now known as the Kadett A. It was an utterly conventional compact sedan, with a 1.0-liter, 40 horsepower (30 kilowatt) engine, and a notably large trunk. 650,000 were produced in three years when the Kadett B … [Read more...] about Opel Kadett turns 80 years old after 24 million units sold

We already know it won’t be a “fat cowboy truck,” but a “real Mercedes” and a "truly premium" product.
