Honda Ireland has announced that the new Honda Civic Saloon will be available in Ireland from late July 2018. This means that the Honda Civic range is now complete with both hatchback and saloons available, petrol and diesel engines, and manual and automatic transmissions. The Honda Civic Saloon will be available with Honda’s new 1.0-litre VTEC Turbo petrol engine and comprehensively revised 1.6 i-DTEC diesel engine. There is the option of automatic or manual transmission with both engines. The new Honda Civic Saloon completes the Civic family joining the high performance Civic Type R and hatchback, which is currently available with a 1.0-litre or 1.5-litre VTEC Turbo petrol engine and the 1.6 i-DTEC diesel. New Car Registrations In Ireland In March 2018
Total new car registrations for the month of March were down 10.5% to 17,796 from 19,890 in March 2017, according to figures released by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI). New cars registrations year to date remain 5.5% down on the same period last year (71,842 vs 75,982). New Light Commercial Vehicle registrations (LCV) were up 2% (3,147) on March 2017 (3,084) and year to date are up 5.4% (12,537). New Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HGV) have declined 11.2% for the month of March (271) compared to the same month last year (305) and are down 11.2% (916) year to date. Tesla Expands Supercharger Network In Ireland
Ireland’s latest Tesla Supercharger site has just opened at Applegreen Castlebellingham on the M1. Applegreen Castlebellingham is a motorway service area located on the M1, one of Ireland’s busiest motorways, and offers recreational areas and food for drivers and families on the move. The Tesla Supercharger has a total of 16 bays with eight on the Northbound side and eight Southbound. The location opens up Tesla travel from Dublin to Belfast and beyond. Tesla owners can stop for lunch, dinner or a quick coffee while their battery recharges, gaining half a charge in as little as 20 minutes. For long distance travel, the Supercharger network allows Tesla owners to conveniently charge on major routes all over Europe.
