NEW YORK (AP) — Disgraced R&B superstar R. Kelly was sentenced Wednesday to 30 years in prison for using his fame to sexually abuse young fans, including some who were just children, in a systematic scheme that went on for decades. Through tears and anger, several of Kelly's accusers told a court in New York City, and the singer himself, that he had misled and preyed upon them. “You made me do things that broke my spirit. I literally wished I would die because of how low you made me feel,” said one unnamed survivor, directly addressing Kelly, who kept his hands folded and his eyes downcast. This is a carousel. Listen to this article The 2022 Goodwood Festival Of Speed was, in a word, awesome. We got the opportunity to attend this year's event thanks to Subaru, which went all-in with Travis Pastrana's 1983 Subaru GL "Family Huckster" and helped Prodrive debut its gorgeous P25 22B restomod. Beyond that, there was plenty to see and do throughout the weekend, especially on Sunday when the hill climb competition put some of the fastest cars in the world on the driveway. Steiner expects $200m F1 dilution fund to be adjusted in the future
Listen to this article F1 is currently attracting interest from American racing marque Andretti Autosport as a potential 11th entry in the near future. But Andretti’s plans have been met with a lukewarm reaction from most of the F1 paddock amid concern about the financial impact caused by adding another team to the field. Under the terms of the Concorde Agreement agreed by teams in 2020, any new entry must pay a $200m fee that gets split evenly between the existing outfits. This dilution fund is intended to offset the loss in revenue caused by splitting the prize money between 11 teams instead of 10. Haas F1 boss Steiner has been clear in his view that F1 should stick with the current 10-team grid due to the stability and health of all the operations. “You've got 10 very good teams or good teams, they're all stable,” Steiner said in Canada last week. “Why should we change something if it works like this? At the moment, we are in a good place.” Asked by Motorsport.com … [Read more...] about Steiner expects $200m F1 dilution fund to be adjusted in the future
Gasly reveals how Red Bull demotion changed him
Pierre Gasly has said he is “better than the Pierre of three years ago” following his demotion from Red Bull. The Frenchman made the step-up to the main team for the 2019 campaign following two seasons at Toro Rosso but lasted just 12 races before returning to the junior team. At the time, the demotion knocked his confidence but since then he has gone on to establish himself as the senior member of AlphaTauri and one of the more talented drivers on the grid. There was even speculation he may be ready for a move to another team such as McLaren but he committed his future to his current side for 2023. Gasly was asked on the Motor Sport podcast , if his demotion was a turning point in his career and if it changed him. “Oh, big time,” he replied. “You always learn way more from failures and challenges than any other things or even from success because you always need to question what went wrong, what could have been better? How could you have done things better? How could … [Read more...] about Gasly reveals how Red Bull demotion changed him
Mahindra Scorpio-N Review — The Scorpio Becomes A Game-Changer, Once Again
Home Car reviews oi-Stephen Gershom By Stephen Gershom Published: Thursday, June 30, 2022, 10:00 [IST] Not so long ago, Mahindra was a manufacturer of basic and rugged vehicles that boasted the capability to go anywhere in any condition while discounting a luxurious cabin altogether. Now though, things have changed. The latest SUVs made by Mahindra boast almost the same levels of ruggedness while having a cabin that is thousand times more luxurious. This sea change started with the launch of the first-gen Mahindra Scorpio back in 2002. Yes, it was exactly two decades ago, that the Scorpio turned things around for Mahindra. Back then, the Scorpio was an SUV that boasted an interior that one never thought would be seen on a Mahindra, and yet it boasted the go-anywhere capability and an engine that would last a million kilometres. The Scorpio brand grew over the years, with newer iterations coming into the picture. The … [Read more...] about Mahindra Scorpio-N Review — The Scorpio Becomes A Game-Changer, Once Again

(AP) — The jury that will decide whether Nikolas Cruz should get the death penalty for killing 17 people in the 2018 shooting rampage at a Parkland, Florida, high school was finally selected Wednesday, after a painstaking, stop-and-start process that took nearly three months.
