The athletic Jaguar I-Pace crossover debuts in U.S. showrooms in September, the first of a wave of premium battery-powered challengers coming to knock the Silicon Valley lion off Simba’s Rock. The I-Pace is cat-quick, head-turning and comfortable. But the I-Pace will also be fighting for pre-eminence within its own brand against a legacy of roaring, long-nose cats. Meet 9 animals ready for adoption at Michigan Humane Society
Sarah Rahal The Detroit News Published 12:48 p.m. UTC Jun 20, 2018 The Michigan Humane Society has a surplus of adoptable rescues that could use a forever home in which to roam and cuddle with family members. The humane society said summer months are a good time to adopt a homeless animal. "Families often have more time they can spend training and socializing their new pets," said MHS spokesman Shaun Bailey. "Similarly, it’s easier to house train a puppy when it’s warm because, like us, they often don’t want to go outside during Michigan’s cold winters." Bailey said the society saw a hike in adoptions last summer, when it placed 829 animals in June and 938 in July. "According to last year’s data, the Michigan Humane Society placed slightly more animals than average during summer," Bailey said.
