We all know about the exploits of the Ramchargers and Tom Hoover at Chrysler Engineering, but many dedicated people contributed to Chrysler’s greatness during the muscle car era. Perhaps no engineer worked harder and got less recognition than Bob Tarozzi, who is best known for his engineering work on the Super Stock Hemi package cars in 1968, and for his work on the Chrysler Trans-Am effort with All American Racers in 1970. POPE John Paul II's Peugeot 504 has been sold to an unnamed buyer for £13,286 on French second-hand website Leboncoin. The Popemobile was used during three separate visits to the country despite being a back-up car. It was first used for a tour from May 30 to June 2, 1980, between the Paris-Le Bourget Airport and Lisieux commune in Calvados, according to Le Perisien. In 1983, the Pope was driven in it through the town of Lourdes in the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains. And again in 1986 around Lyon, the alpine town of Annecy and finally in the so-called City of the Sacred Heart, Paray-le-Monial. Despite the tours, the pick-up truck has only racked up 610 miles on the clock - with around 60 miles logged by the Popemobile's following owner. The Peugeot was listed by Nael Auto garage in Domont, which specialises in vintage and collectable cars.
