Expect a limited production run. The Porsche 911 comes in a variety of flavors, sometimes making it difficult to identify a nondescript prototype. A new batch of spy shots shows us a familiar-looking test vehicle – this isn't the first 911 with a ducktail spoiler we've spotted – but this new one has several distinct differences. Previous 911 spy shots captured a ducktail-equipped test vehicle sporting a Turbo model's rear haunches, with gaping air intakes puncturing the rear fenders. However, the new test vehicle in the latest batch of pics doesn't have those. The fenders are smooth, lacking the intakes, but that's not the only difference. A close inspection of the new prototype reveals it sports a double-bubble roof, which isn't present on the other 911 Turbo-like one. Ducati wants to keep its six MotoGP bikes for 2022
The Italian manufacturer is the only one of the six present on the current MotoGP grid who supplies bikes to two satellite squads on top of its factory effort. Long-time partner Pramac receives full factory support from Ducati, with both current championship leader Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin running identical machinery to works team duo Jack Miller and Francesco Bagnaia. Ducati also supplies two-year-old bikes to Avintia, with all Ducati riders contracted directly to the Italian manufacturer. Speaking to the language version of Motorsport.com, Paolo Ciabatti says the aim is to continue fielding six bikes in 2022. "In our case, the idea is to continue in the coming years with six bikes, i.e. with a second independent team," Ducati's sporting director said. "It is a system that we are very comfortable with. It is also a way of being able to keep some riders who we believe have earned the right to be in MotoGP." Supercars re-opens all eight Bathurst 1000 campsites
The Aussie series confirmed that the full suite of campsites will be open for the first time since 2019 for the October classic. The move follows a complete closure of the camping facilities for last year's Great Race due to strict coronavirus protocols, while just four of the sites were open for the 2021 season-opening Mount Panorama 500 in February. It also suggests that, subject to any relevant outbreaks of the virus, the event could be back to near full crowd capacity. Sporting stadiums around the currently have recently began to drop capacity rules, with the major football codes now welcoming full capacity crowds around most of the country. According to Supercars, campsite ticket holders from 2019 will have access to a pre-sale that starts next week, before general sale starts on June 15. "Supercars is pleased to confirm all eight campgrounds will be open at Mount Panorama for the 2021 Repco Bathurst 1000," read a statement from the series.
