Home Four wheelers oi-Promeet Ghosh By Promeet Ghosh Published: Monday, April 19, 2021, 19:28 [IST] Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, once again, there has been a lockdown that has been imposed across the country, especially in some major states. Manufacturers are working on limited staffs following the government's given rules and regulations. Earlier this month, there were rumours that Tata Motors had halted the production of certain models in the passenger vehicle segment. However, the company has released an official statement today clarifying that the company is running its production operations at the Pune plant with a limited workforce, in line with the current COVID-19 norms, in Maharashtra. This is the official statement from the company, "Tata Motors is running operations at its Pune plant in strict compliance with the guidelines mentioned in the 'Break the Chain' order of the Maharashtra government. 2020 Honda e Advance Review: Lovable Retro Urban EV
Honda e has so many positives that you could almost forgive its so-so range and the high acquisition price. As a design exercise, there is little question about how successful the Honda e electric city car is. Sure, it may look like a retro-inspired car and that may have been done before, yet it has to be one of the most successful such designs ever. Some retro-inspired cars look a bit ridiculous and out of place; this Honda looks very handsome and fitting, though. But it’s not just a pretty (quirky) face - it’s also remarkably fun to drive, it has a very pleasant interior that can carry four adults and gadgets that place it among the top one percent most innovative cars. No, it’s not perfect, due to its low range and relatively high price, but if you get a chance to drive one, you’ll understand why I fell for it after spending just a few days driving it around the city. Design From the very first yards driving the Honda e in a big city environment, you notice just … [Read more...] about 2020 Honda e Advance Review: Lovable Retro Urban EV
Ten things we learned from F1’s 2021 Emilia Romagna GP
Formula 1's second race at Imola in the space of six months offered a vastly different affair to the inaugural Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in November. A pre-race rain shower left some drivers and teams battling to make it to the grid at all, while the greasy track made mistakes all the most costly once the lights did go out. A top-two of Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton may point to little changing since Bahrain, yet it is a long way from the true story of how Sunday's grand prix played out. Here are 10 things we learned from the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. 1. Verstappen and Hamilton are in a league of their own Max Verstappen, Red Bull Racing RB16B, Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes W12 Photo by: Charles Coates / Motorsport Images After all of the hype that has built in recent months about the prospect of a Verstappen versus Hamilton title fight, it is something of a relief to see it justified in the early part of the season. Imola may not have been a repeat of … [Read more...] about Ten things we learned from F1’s 2021 Emilia Romagna GP
Official Polestar 2 EPA Range Rating Is Very Disappointing
It's nowhere near the 275-mile (442 km) target, not even close to the 470 km (292 miles) WLTP result either. The official range rating for the 2021 Polestar 2 is 233 miles (375 km) , using a 78 kWh battery, which is far below our expectations. Several months ago, Polestar's website showed a target of 275 miles (442 km) , while the European WLTP rating was 470 km (292 miles). As we can see, the final EPA result is 20% lower than the WLTP. The real-world range of the Polestar 2 might still be quite good, but at least on paper, the P2 will not be the top non-Tesla BEV. Tesla Model 3 LR AWD was rated at 322 miles (+38%), while the Performance version is at 299 miles (+28%). Bjorn Nyland in his test noted : 435 km (270 miles) at 90 km/h (56 mph) and 305 km (190 miles) at 120 km/h (75 mph). The combined energy efficiency of the Polestar 2 is 92 MPGe - 366 Wh/mi (227 Wh/km) . Quite a lot - 30% more compared to the Model 3 LR AWD (280 Wh/mi) or 23% more than the … [Read more...] about Official Polestar 2 EPA Range Rating Is Very Disappointing
