Honda 125 new model 2017
After the announcement of the debut of the 2018 Honda Monkey, which is based on the Honda MSX125 or Grom, as it known in some markets, it appears that the Monkey will be coming to Malaysia soon, the question being when. This was said to paultan.org during an exclusive with Datuk Wira Tan Hui Jing, chairman of Boon Siew Honda. During the conversation at the 2018 Malaysian Autoshow in Serdang, Tan said there are plans to introduce the Monkey, but will depend on various factors such as pricing, approvals and government regulations. However, Boon Siew Honda’s plant in Batu Kawan, Penang, is ready to start assembly of the Monkey, said Tan. The new Monkey will use the air-cooled, single-cylinder which displaces 125 cc from the MSX and delivers a claimed 9.6 hp at 7,000 rpm and 11 Nm of torque at 5,250 rpm, fuelled by Honda’s PGM-Fi. Weighing in at 107 kg, the Monkey carries fuel in a 5.6-litre tank, closely styled to mimic the tank on the original Monkey. 2018 GL1800 … [Read more...] about 2018 Honda Monkey will be coming to Malaysia soon?
Still the Most Affordable Fun It seems like a simple equation. Take a solid, popular, respected hatchback. Add in a state-of-the-art electric powertrain. Improve often. The best example I can think of that fits this equation is the 2017 Volkswagen e-Golf. The e-Golf keeps the fun and adds some range We’ve been in this model before and have very little negative to say about it. We’ve loved the Golf through it’s multiple generations and the electric version is icing on the cake. It loses none of the great handling of the gas or diesel models (maybe even gains a little from the battery weight). In our view the e-Golf is one of the best EVs out there. Competition from new models has made me modify my previous “best” to “one of the best.” But that’s because of the advances of new models from Chevy and Tesla, not through any deterioration from the VW. Most Improved? In fact, I could make an argument for a new title for the 2017 Volkswagen … [Read more...] about Flash Drive: 2017 Volkswagen e-Golf
More Range Plus the VW Experience In the wake of the diesel emissions scandal, VW is emphasizing its electric car goals, but so far, its only all-electric car is the e-Golf. I enjoyed a week with a handsome White Silver example. The Volkswagen Golf is a car buff magazine perennial favorite, especially the GTI model, because it’s compact, but not too small, extremely practical, drives with enthusiasm and handles precisely. In addition, the interior feels like a driver’s car and not simply a motoring appliance. The electric member of the Golf family The beauty of the 2017 Volkswagen e-Golf is that it doesn’t lose any of its Golf virtues in the transition to an EV. Its 700-pound battery lives along the bottom of the car, giving it a low center of gravity without intruding a bit into the passenger or cargo room. At 3,455 pounds, the e-Golf weighs only 432 pounds more than a four-door Golf automatic, thanks to some careful engineering and use of high-strength steel. Honda has revealed the new 2018 Honda PCX125 for the European market. The scooter features a single-channel ABS with a 220 mm front disc and a 130 mm rear drum. Compared to the 2017 version, the 2018 model retains the characteristic silhouette of the PCX. However, the front fascia of the 2018 model is sportier, with sleek LED DRL merging into the LED headlamp. The tail light and indicators are LED as well. The instrumentation is a new easy-to-read inverse LCD unit. The large left-hand fairing pocket is large enough to hold a drink can and now has an extended lid (compared to the old design) to allow the rider to access the contents easily. It also contains a 12V AC adaptor. The underseat storage is up by 1 litre, to 28 litres.
